This was my second, and last, time at Posto. The menu description of their carbonara included mentions of fresh egg (served on top of the pasta) and that onions are involved, but at no point did the description mention cream sauce. I would not have ordered it if it had. It’s hard to find an actual carbonara in the USA for some reason. Washed eggs, maybe? I can't say enough good things about this place. Hands-down the best restaurant in the Davis area, and imo the best restaurant in Somerville. My girlfriend and I have never once had a bad experience here. Drinks are always on point and the staff and management are incredible. We took our nephew out for his birthday. The atmosphere was casual and open. The service was terrific - friendly and attentive without overdoing. (Thank you, Joanna) And we all enjoyed the food - Brussels Sprout appetizer, Rigatoni, Eggplant Pizza and Arugula Salad were all delicious. And they nicely brought his sherbet dessert with a candle and a big Happy Birthday plate. Good vibes all around. We will be back!
