Food was fine, and they were out of a lot of things on the menu. The laid back diner atmosphere was nice enough but I'm not planning to go

Place has really gone downhill. Food mediocre; owner hostile. Substantial price increase still not reflected on their menus (after over 6 months).

Just a warning, all of the main items we ordered were $3.50 more expensive than listed on the menu we received. Owner said she hasn’t had time to update the prices (although I see a review from 5 months ago saying the same thing). Nothing wrong with a price increase, but shouldn’t they at least inform customers beforehand? Nothing was said until we asked about the bill, and she seemed annoyed that I even asked. They had run out of a few options - food was just average, but the server was nice. Unfortunately the owner at the counter gave the place a hostile feeling.

Wait staff is wonderful but management needs to be better. We couldn't get half the menu, which is not that big, because they ran out of food. You can't get breakfast without eggs, beacon, pancake mix, hash, smoked salmon, apples... The hours are also unreliable and not posted anywhere.

You always see a long line outside of RC's and for good reason. The food is top notch and super cheap. The real highlight is the portions though. They pile the food full plate and mile high. If you ever are super hungry please come here and you will be wildly satiated. This is what breakfast places dream of being when they grow up.

This place was good. We had breakfast here. I didn't take pictures but it was egg and bacon strips, orange juice not fresh probably minute maid brand

The coffee is strong (thank you) and the eggs are fresh. Tables are well spaced. There are window seats on both sections of the restaurant. There are vegan choices. It’s a nice place for friends and family to meet.

My favorite breakfast place in greater Boston. Delicious food and great service.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I want to appreciate the local vibe, but my expectations get ruined every so often. First, their working hours are really random. Sometimes they just don't open, sometimes they close early. Service is weird. You come in to 'wait to be seated' and you awkwardly stand there for ages without anyone paying attention or acknowledging. Their personnel are nice when they serve you, but they run all over the place, not sure if they are overwhelmed or just badly organized. Kitchen constantly runs out of main ingredients - 9 times out of 10 they won't have 'bennies', beef hash or salmon. Food itself is decent but doesn't seem consistent. The overall interior seems very tired, not clean, cold/wet in the winter and not cozy at all. I wish this local business the best, but it looks like their best times are in the past.

There's a lot to love about this local joint. The have the biggest pancakes I have ever seen and they're quite good. The French toast is also excellent.Service is always friendly and attentive. A neighborhood gem.

This restaurant seriously needs to update their communication - there is no sign indicating that it is cash only (even though they have the credit card stickers on their door). We had to walk to an ATM down the road to pay. What’s more, the prices on the menu are false advertising with the eggs Benedict listed as $8.75 but we were charged $12.95 on the bill and told “the prices changed but management has not updated the menu.” The food was okay - worth the low price on the menu, but not the updated price on the bill. Coffee had grounds in it. The only redeeming factor was that our server was very nice.

We happened upon Renee’s Cafe on the way home from Boston & we couldn’t have picked a better place for breakfast. Had an apple, ham & brie cheese omelette that was absolutely delicious! My friend had the full lumberjack breakfast with eggs, pancakes & sausage - so good! We both loved the home fries! What a great place! Highly recommend!

Overated. Portions quality and price are much better at ball square cafe. Food wasn't that good here either

Food was fine but prices have almost doubled which the menu does not reflect. Very frustrating to get the bill and be surprised at how expensive the food was, as effectively they can charge whatever they want since the listed prices are incorrect.

Was looking forward to trying this place but walked up at 10 AM and the door was locked and all the lights were off. No mention of being closed on Google or their social media.
