Who could have thought to put Indian street food and American diner classics together? My friend and I were wandering around the area and were just too intrigued by the concept to pass it by, so we popped in for a late Sunday lunch. The restaurant definitely felt like a classic American diner, with old-fashioned booths and stools, but with an Indian twist. Our server was also super friendly and gave us a slew of recommendations, of which we eventually chose three to split: the vada pav, masala omelette, and French toast. Each item was quite tasty, but seemed to lean more heavily into the American diner cuisine versus Indian half of the fusion. The vada pav was the most classically Indian, and included a giant fried potato ball sandwiched into a slider roll. The rolls were pillowy, soft, and slightly sweet, which went wonderfully with the spiced (although not spicy) potato balls. The potatoes were hot and very soft in the center, but they had a wonderfully crunchy outer shell. It was the perfect little bite of street food before our omelette arrived; it was a pretty standard omelette, but covered with a lovely, rich curry sauce. The eggs were a smidge overcooked, but the creamy curry helped to counterbalance the slight dryness in the egg. We finished our meal with the French toast, which felt far more like classic French toast vs. the spiced version the menu promised; however, it was still plenty tasty.

The vibe of the place is bigger than food. The menu is excellent but food qaulity is okay nothing so great. Don't get the dal hummus.

Great staff and the food was great quality wise. Could use bigger portions but not small meals by any means

Loved the ambience and the concept of Indian food slightly altered for the American palate. Had very high expectations. But honestly, wasn’t pleased with the vegan/vegetarian options when Indian food has so many. The dal hummus was basically cooked dal with a few thin fulka slices in the name of rumali roti. No match for actual hummus one would savor to the last bit or to rumali roti we so love. Garlic naan or tandoori roti would’ve been so much better. The avocado toast too had much scope for customization/‘healthi’fication but was disappointed to get a very basic avocado toast comparable to dunk’s just with some green chutney for a much higher price. The chai was overly priced as well. I ended up ordering a bunch of food but didn’t feel satiated at all. Not a place for vegetarians. Bit of a loot.

Quiet here when I went on a rainy Sunday afternoon, but I can absolutely imagine how busy this place can get late at night. They offer just the kind of options you might want after a night out, and then some. I had the "Railway Club", which was basically a triple decker chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onion (which they didn't skimp on!), cucumber, and mint aioli. I had this along with a side of spicy fries and washed it down with a nice, hot cup of masala chai. Everything was very delicious and the portions were so big, I needed a box. My sandwich tasted even better out of the fridge the following day. Would highly recommend. Next time, I hope to try some of the Indian appetizers to pair with that Masala Chai I loved so much. Hope to be back soon!

Vegetarian options: As this is an Indian-American restaurant, there are plenty of tasty veggie options available for those who prefer a meatless meal. But meat eaters will not be disappointed either, as there is something for just about everyone.

My wife and I went to Rosebud with her cousins. We ordered the butter chicken pot pie, which was a solid choice. The pakoras were good, and the Mississippi mud pie was definitely the standout dish; the hybrid fusion was such fun for all members of the family.

Manager Raunaq was attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. The vibe is warm and inviting. Interestingly, I suspect the restaurant’s name is a tribute to the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota, home to the Lakota Rosebud Sioux Tribe.

Vegetarian options: my wife's cousin's hubby is vegetarian and he loved the food

Dietary restrictions: I believe it was Kosher & Halal friendly but I didn't check

Parking: we didn't drive but my wife's cousins easily found parking

Kid-friendliness: Kids would love the diner concept

Who ever thought to combine Indian cuisine with diner fare? Not me, but I'm sure glad the folks behind Rosebud did. The upscale diner fare pairs very well with reimagined Indian flavors such Tandoori Steak Frites and Butter Chicken Pot Pie. Ok, maybe I just have a love for Makhani sauce, but it's so tasty! It's a great compliment in particular to the Steak Frites.

Service was slow both times I visited (late lunch) despite few crowds, so don't expect typical diner speed of you're in a rush.

Overall, give Rosebud a try if you want to try something unique yet familiar.

Unique dining experience, it's okay if you don't see the entrance right away! The staff is very welcoming and attentive. And the food is delicious. The BEST home fries I have ever eaten. And the chai French toast was unique. Rosebud omelette was fantastic! Bottomless coffee is a must.

So I am from Mumbai, I haven’t been back in 1 year and the food was PERFECT!!! The schezwan fried rice and the vada pav was SO FRESH and DELICIOUS. If I could give them 6/5 stars I would ? I cannot recommend this enough, I would die for this food and I am going to sleep like a baby tonight because I’m so happy. If you’re unsure - GO TRY THIS, you will not regret it.
