Ruth's Chris Steak House

Food was spectacular, server was excellent, helpful, and friendly. As usual Ruth Chris's is the best place to go for a remarkable experience!!! The absolute BEST

Food and service was great, I highly recommend going to this location always good place to eat.

My husband and I had reservations for 5:45 on NYE. It was incredibly busy in a “mostly controlled chaos” restaurant way. We were greeted warmly by the hostesses and told it might be a few extra minutes. We were seated 5 minutes later. Within minutes of sitting down we had bread, butter and drinks. V, our server, was spectacular. Truly. As someone who worked restaurants for years she's an MVP. She was given a 4 and 3 tables of 2 all at once. Usually it works- unless you're transferring tabs from the bar and have 2 additional high tops. V made it work in a way I couldn't have. The food came out perfectly paced, everything was cooked EXACTLY as we ordered it, and despite being completely overwhelmed (all the staff were) my husband and I had an incredible dining experience. We grabbed Scott the manager before we left to let him know how great V was and that we would back. He was kind, gracious and friendly in a way that is often missing from management in the restaurant industry these days. A 10 out of 10 dining experience all things considered. My husband and I love a really GREAT meal, but we return to great restaurants for the SERVICE. I always know I'm going to get a great meal at RC's- but the service is what makes it. The Ruth's C's in Waltham- we ask for Rodney, at the Somerville location- it will be V. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this location for it's ease of parking, fantastic service (hostesses, food runners, servers, bartenders AND management) Thank you to ALL of the staff who were working so unbelievably hard under insanely busy conditions- your commitment to your customers and your jobs didn't go unnoticed. We can't wait to come back.

No one came to our table the first time, not even to offer us water, and we were sitting in front of the hostess. I had to ask someone, who was our waiter. After that the Captain came, apologized and offered us a free appetizer. Once our waiter appeared he was amazing. Food was good as expected.

Had dinner at Ruth Chris in Somerville two weeks ago. It was just ok, like most steakhouses! For the price of a meal! I want to dine! But the service was not good, food came out to quick, then waited to long after for the bill. I would have preferred slower dinner and better attendance after we were done. Steakhouses always disappointed me!

Out server matt was AMAZING and food was great but when we first got there we had a horrible experience right away from a women named Tanya.. she was SO rude to us we almost left and if it wasnt thanksgiving and reservations weren’t full everywhere We would have left. Awful attitude for a place where you spend so much money.

Excellent food and service. Ruth Chris is our favorite steak house. So glad to have one in Somerville

I come here often, with my son. Yesterday, was terrible. My drinks were perfect, as was my starter bread. I ordered the 3 - Course Meal. I asked for no tomatoes, I got no croutons as well. I asked for cheeses on my salad, was given grated Parmesan, yet last week I was given shredded. I asked for my chicken to be well done, they burnt it, and only one side was stuffed! WTH?! In addition, the fries with my son's burger was cold! Bad enough, the people that came after us, were served well before us, and I had to ask twice about my food. To forget about our food, not stuff the chicken, and bring out cold fries? We'll be finding a new favorite spot. Not to mention the cucumber slaw from the spicy shrimp is clearly not being prepared for same anymore. The stuffed chicken went from $32/$36 to $42, yet got significantly smaller in size.

Wonderful experience on Saturday night with Jessica. She was so friendly and helpful. The food was awesome. Our runner was very friendly too. Everything was just perfect. I usually don't get a coursed/set menu but they had a wonderful option with add ons/upgrades that made it so much fun to splurge. Can't say enough good things about the staff and food. Too bad going out isn't what it used to be in terms of the clientele wearing decent clothes. I'm old school ... no baseball hats or sweatshirts at the table. Have some manners and pride.

The service was good, but the food was really mediocre, including everything from the appetizers to the salmon to the steaks. We will not be returning.

We had a wonderful evening. Your manager, Scott, demonstrated a great sense of humor. We appreciate his courtesy in waiving the cost of a steak that was returned burnt the second time. They Exhibited a Warm and Friendly Demeanor, Ensuring a Memorable Experience. Amil and Christian R. demonstrated outstanding professionalism. Making Them an Invaluable Asset to the Restaurant.. Everything we ate was outstanding, except the steak, which was returned burnt and still had red in the middle, although I had ordered it well done. The manager came over and removed that from the bill. We appreciated Scott for doing that. We will definitely be back due to their excellent service.

It's always consistent. The food is outstanding as is the service. What more could you ask for?

I feel Ruth's Chris did not hold up compared to other steak houses. The presentation was poor, the steaks not as flavorful, and the waiter was trying to be our best friend. Way overwrought.

I have been to Ruth's Chris many times and tonight they showed up very well. From the Host Scott, to Vanecia (sp) our server, everything was executed in supreme fashion. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and I could not have enjoyed our 20th Anniversary any better than our dinner at Ruth's Chris!

My family and I went to enjoy my birthday and I had a wonderful time as the food was amazing and so was the atmosphere!
