Ruth's Chris Steak House

Third time here, its location is convenient for me but each time is more disappointing. Go to davios, STK, mooo or abe&louies to get the quality that you expect, also nicer ambiance. I’d even do stockyard or franks before returning here.
The food was on par with something like a Fridays or one of those $25 steak places. Ribeyes were wonderfully crusty on one side and grey almost soggy on the other side. The meat was a bit dry as if the steak wasn’t cooked to order, but rather parcooked and tossed under a salamander with butter at order. Filets were cooked very well and seemed more fresh. Two types of Mac n cheese both came out very dry not much cheese and not appealing. Crab cakes a bit bland. Calamari cooked well and a nice almost Thai chili sauce on it. Au gratin and mushroom sides heavily over salted barely edible.
We came for an early dinner around 6, before the place was busy at all. Service was professional and attentive, the manager was making rounds, that was all great. I didn’t mention it at the time because I didn’t care for a discount or anything, I just won’t be returning.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Ruth’s Chris in Assembly Row. The food quality was far below expectations. The meat sandwich I ordered was especially bad — the portion was small, the meat wasn’t cooked to the requested medium-well, and it lacked flavor. The fries were burnt and tasted like old oil, which made them inedible. Considering the high prices, I expected much better quality. Overall, a very disappointing visit. I won’t be coming back.

We had a reservation for 10 on Mother’s Day. We had two waiters and I think that caused some confusions, drinks were made incorrectly and tea had to be reminded many times. My mom wanted a burger and it wasn’t on their menu at THIS location, but is on at others. Oddly I saw a giant burger came out at another table so I asked and they said since I saw it they have to offer it to us. We were very confused! I’m sure on a less busy night they might be better but in a holiday our experience did not meet our expectations. This is not our first time dining at Ruth’s Chris.

Outstanding! The steak and scallop special was cooked absolutely perfectly. Kudos to chef. The bartender was so friendly, polite, and professional from Bosnia her name is Irma. It was my birthday and she alone made it so special I thank her.

Went during Dine Out Boston and it was well worth the money! Great deal for three courses that are normally the price of one! Somerville location was so accommodating for a large party on a Friday! Will definitely be back

Ruth Chris continues to be a top notch place to go to for dinner. The food is so good and if you get a great server, combine with great food, you can't go wrong.
