Saturday night and they had zero wait staff. Got a table and menus and about 45 minutes then left as we were not even afterthoughts

Sally O’Brien’s is a popular Irish-style bar and grill in Somerville that serves as a very fine music venue as well. The stage is set against a large street window which helps to create a soundtrack to people watching. The sound system is very good here. The menu is made up of pretty good pub grub staples but the specials menu adds a little something different. While the Chicken Tenders were just meh, the special Tuna Salad Wrap was very good - and fresh! They do give you a nice pile of fries. For a meal and a beer you can expect to spend about $20-30. The bartender and staff were very friendly and accommodating. I drove about an hour to be here and would do it again if the band is right. Recommended.

Excellent experience! Staff went out of their way to accommodate our large group showing up, last minute. All very friendly! Food delicious, music great. Very fun vibe in here with lots of folks dancing. Second visit for me and definitely will be back!

Great spot for good music and good company! Heard the music from the street and ended up staying all night. If there’s a cover it’s worth it. Lots of regulars for good reason.

The bar is fine the food is not. My Burger was burnt and unseasoned. The service is nice.

Food was pretty good service was good except for the door person who said I had to pay $10 (cash only) cover for the band and then after I dug $10 out of my wallet, let a party of 4 and a party of 2 in without paying since they only had cards and no cash. If I had known I would have lied about having cash or left. Band was pretty decent but music was beyond loud for a tiny place. I used airpods with ear protection and got a nice loud sound with no headache or ringing in my ear afterwards. Would recommend if you don't take cash and can get in for free. Food was good and fries where some of the best I have had recently. Hot fresh and crisp. Value is lost though if you tack on a $10 cover.

This is a wonderful place! We always have so much fun! Liam the owner supports amazing live music! Spencer is a fantastic bartender/waiter: always knows what we want and when we want it. I love this place more than any bar/pub in the Boston area, and I've been to most of them. Thank you, Liam, for supporting live music and creating such a fabulous community!
