The food was good — I loved the Beet Kibbeh, Honey Nut Hummus, and Pumpkin Fritters. All dishes were flavorful, and beautifully presented. However, the service was quite slow — I waited about 30 minutes before my order was taken and another 20 minutes for the food to arrive. The overall experience could have been better.

They did a weird thing where a guy walked around with a plate of fried chicken, making it seem free. But then he said it was $17. Nobody wanted it after that. I’ve never seen a restaurant of this caliber do that, and it messed up the vibe.

Stomach hurts a lot after, food is really salty and overpriced

Sarma absolutely blew me away. Every dish had something special going on — the parsnip poppers were this perfect mix of crispy and creamy, the octopus shish was tender with just the right char, and the eggplant fries were dangerously good (I could eat a whole plate of those). The lamb sliders were rich and juicy, and I’m still thinking about the baklava banana pudding — sweet, nutty, and just unreal.

I truly believe all the praise Sarma receives is super well deserved. Our expectations were dangerously high going in and Sarma exceeded on all fronts! The food, drinks, and service were all exceptional!

Food: All the plates we ordered were all so unique and flavorful and it was such a treat exploring them. If only we had the stomachs and wallets to try everything on the menu. Our favorites were definitely the cornbread, the brussel sprouts, and the Cajun lamb kebabs. The first bite of every dish always got us perked up and excited to try more! Also the drinks we tried were a hit with everyone!

Service: This was a perfect service experience! The staff checked in frequently and effectively, always quick to deliver on requests. The plates came and went so smoothly allowing you to focus on the food and the people you’re with.

Atmosphere: The energy felt so celebratory! The decor and lightly immersed you in the dining experience giving you so many interesting and beautiful things to yet your eyes wonder on. Though there was constant chatter, we could easily hear everyone in our 5 person party because of the quieter background music and the spacing of the seating.

This is an extraordinary restaurant! I feel this restaurant is the best in Boston! They use so many different herb! Tapas. All the dishes blended well .
The employees are so friendly. Our waiter was Alexis tonight. He gave us a great experience.

This was my second visit to Sarma. I had an excellent experience the first time, but unfortunately, this visit fell short. The cornbread was burnt and overly greasy, with too much oil. The waitress also forgot my coffee order-I had to remind her at the end of the meal, and even then, the Turkish coffee arrived lukewarm, without any sugar or Turkish delight on the side.

There were still a few dishes I enjoyed-the avocado muhammara, gyro bread, potato latke, and garlic broccoli were all flavourful-but overall, the experience felt disappointing compared to my first visit.

Visiting from Denver and food snobs, this was our favorite meal of the trip. Inventive creative dishes that were bursting with flavor, great service, and lively atmosphere. Cocktails, cornbread, and corn fattoush salad were the highlights. We didn’t love the lentil nachos but admittedly we didn’t like any of the ingredients and wanted to try because so highly recommended - so probably a win that we even liked! Wish we lived locally so we could return and try more dishes!
