Sarma is my favorite restaurant in the Boston area. They do everything perfectly. You can order literally anything off their menu and it'll be delicious and surprising. As a low-meat person, I really appreciate how they have tons of options that don't contain meat. Not "vegetarian option" but just dishes that are amazing and don't need meat for flavor. Their cocktails are delicious and super interesting. It's a great spot for a special occasion.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie dishes that are full of flavors and delight. Not just a side salad!

There is a good reason it is hard to get reservations at Sarma.Mediterranean tapas done very well. If you weren't aware, this chef has another restaurant (Oleana) and bakery (Sofra) that are also great.

Overall a great restaurant, but calling it the best in Boston is maybe a bit of a stretch (and to be honest reveals that the food scene in Boston is incredibly weak). Most of the dishes were just decent--often too heavy on the spices--and some were just bad. The calamari in particular was not very soft and the lettuce under it had far too much mayo.

This is a 10/5 . Truly worth the hype. Best dinner I've had in months or years. So glad I came. Cannot recommend anything in particular because everything was fantastic

Had a fine time at Sarma. The food is really good with lots of interesting flavors and spices. Lots of fun exploring their menu. Only complaint is that the high top tables are so close together. We felt like we were on a double date.

The service was good and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. However, I wasn’t blown away by the food. The spanikopita was the best thing we ordered and the mocktails we had were really nice, but other than that, nothing really blew me away. I was disappointed that the cauliflower in the vegetarian stew was barely cooked - I was expecting it to be much softer. The portions were generous and a good size for sharing. Overall, it was just okay.

My bf and I were very excited to celebrate our anniversary dinner here since we’ve heard great things about Sarma, and our experience didn’t disappoint our expectations! First, Sarma sends a reminder via text a few hours and minutes before your reservation. They also recommend streets for parking, which we followed and didn’t have any issues finding a spot (~7 mins walk). We got seated right away for our reservation and our waiter was very kind and attentive. We got two rounds of drinks each, which were all very good - Different faces, different places was my favorite. Then we got the cornbread, special fried chicken, lamb sliders, & bbq duck. All were excellent! The cornbread had a nice spicy kick! Let me tell you that the duck was very tender and I love how there was little to no fat. We left the place very full and happy. Although it is timed dining (1 hr & 45 mins for 2 ppl), we didn’t feel rushed at all. Highly recommend dining here with a reservation or you can walk in for spots at the bar! Can’t wait to go back and try some of the desserts.

So good. I don’t live here so have just gone twice, but both trips it was my favorite place I ate in the Boston area. The menu varies but highlights included: lamb crunch rolls with butternut squash, yams with chickpea chermoula, gyro bread with hummus, little dessert doughnuts with turmeric tea. But both times we ordered not knowing what to expect and had maybe 4/5 bangers and one dish that we liked OK so it’s hard to go wrong.

I don’t know why I hadn’t eaten here until this week! I have heard so many good things. The service was top notch, efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. All of the food was incredible. The wine options were interesting, and the Armenian red my friend and I had was fabulous. If you haven’t made time to check this place out because it’s out of the way for you, I definitely recommend making the time!

Amazing food and nice staff, as far as Mediterranean fusion goes, this is the best I've ever had, at decent prices too!

Sarma is always my #1 recommendation for anyone seeking a high-end dining experience in Boston. It's always reliably great. The cornbread and the fried chicken are both unreal. You really can't go wrong here.
