It's too bad that a solid and welcoming bar is closing after 75 years 6/4/23. What a great place to hang out... Watch a game... Drink and have s great time in a very safe place...Glad I was able to experience it

End of an Era. The last true grime in Davis Sq. Glad we're getting some more lab space and luxury condos though. Get a pint here before you can't ever again... time is ticking.

Came here on St Patrick’s Day, so it was obviously pretty busy, but the Guinness and the atmosphere were great!

Small. Dirty. Shady. Cheap. Jukebox. Somerville. Five stars.

Great atmosphere, esp in St Patrick's Day

Unique dive bar with an awesome crowd on Friday nights. Cash-only spot.

Fun little bar. Must hold the record for drinkers per square foot!

Thanksgiving spread by the owner. Lots of great food! Great music and football.

One of the last remaining dive bars, soon to be destroyed by developers. I am heart broken. Sligo's is sheer dive perfection. Bar tenders are awesome, drinks are awesome, drinks are still reasonably priced, and the decor is the perfect mix of kitsch, old school woodwork, and do what it takes to get a couple bathrooms into a tiny a space! I love it!!

Cheap drinks, great bar staff, the dive bar of Cambridge!

Sligo is Davis Square's last hope. Hold on dear Sligo, they will over take you, but you don't have to lay down and let them, and you don't. You're a real bar, everywhere else on that street is an investment. Your days are surely numbered, the yuppies can't have you inviting the have nots into their territory, but you do, and you always have. The money will always win, but until they do everyone wins at Sligo.

Nothing fancy, but just the dive bar Davis needs

Great neighborhood bar. Complimentary food during Pat's game was nice. I could sit here all day.

To be honest this bar really isn't that much different than others in the area in terms of pricing. With the exception of a $5 PBR (still too much) all of the beers are basically the same price as the nicer bars in the area. And, it's cash only.I'm a big fan of divey bars and try to frequent them exclusively at home and when I travel, but one of the major selling points for me of a dive bar, especially if theyre cash only, is that they usually offer a working man's price. That's why I gave it a 3. The environment is cozy, staff are friendly, but honestly the bar seems to get a bit cramped and I felt cleaner not using the sink to wash my hands in the bathroom.I don't have anything against this bar in particular but to be completely honest, they just don't offer enough to set them apart from the other 7-8 in the area.
