I enjoyed their mushroom sandwich. Excited to go back when the chicken isn’t 86’d.

Sandwich was ok but kinda felt like the guy running the business was upset that I stopped in looking to exchange currency for goods and services. Sullen and rude. He mumbled something at me when I walked in and then swore under his breath as I paid for my meal. There is palpable hostility upon entering this place. An unpleasant experience.

My wife's and I favorite sandwich in Somerville! The fried bologna sandwich is so so good, perfectly satisfying. Goes great with a beer from remnant in the courtyard.

It might just be my face, but each time I've walked in to look at the menu I've been angrily glared at by the man behind the counter.

Had the mushroom melt and it was just perfect! Highly recommend this sandwich place. The homemade coleslaw in the sandwich was one of the best I’ve had and the combination of the flavors and the toasted bread was great! Does take about 15 mins but the owner will tell you the exact time to come back!

I've ordered from here twice within two weeks because I couldn't stop thinking about the sandwiches after my first visit. There's a reason it won best new pop-up of 2023.Southern Pines Diner Car is a small place tucked away in the corner of Bow Market. No seating inside, but there is plenty of seating outside. The sandwiches range from $14-$16 and take 10-15 minutes to prepare.- Mighty Mushroom Melt: The bread was toasted and buttered well. The coleslaw was crunchy and sweet from the honey but balanced by the pickled jalapeños, which added a mild heat. There was a cheese pull, but the cheese was not overwhelming. And lastly, the star ingredient, the mushrooms, had an almost truffle-like taste.- A Gourd-Geous Sandwich: The squash was so soft and sweet, and the taleggio cheese had a rich yet mellow taste. The crispy onions tasted like onion rings and added a nice crunch. The bread was ever so buttery, and their signature slaw added a refreshing balance throughout.I rated this place a 5/5 on my first visit, but the second time around I knocked off a star because the person working there was a bit rude, which put a damper on the experience. A few other reviews on Google have also noted similar interactions.Aside from that, the food is what will keep me coming back because these sandwiches are truly some of the best.

Solid place, delicious food. Cook is definitely the type that won’t chat with you unless you’re one of the folks who works in the surrounding bars or restos. 10 minutes wait time that he estimates is really closer to 20, especially if the surrounding bartenders are ordering stuff, because those orders will immediately jump ahead of yours in the queue.
