When we booked this experience, we honestly didn’t know what to expect…but the dinner far exceeded any expectations we had. The food was incredible. We went with the sake pairing and loved every pairing. On top of that, the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. It was a once in a lifetime experience we won’t forget.

Very good tasting experience that did not disappoint. If I had to nitpick, it was not the most imaginative or creative menu compared to similar chef's counter experiences at that price point. However, they use high-quality, gourmet ingredients and execute them into great flavors in all of the dishes. The service experience was top-notch as well.

A once in a lifetime experience…splurge and treat yourselfThis restaurant would be at least one Michelin star (my bet is two) if the guide ever came to Boston.A beautiful evening of fresh local ingredients and special indulgences from around the world …stunningly presented and curated.A perfect way to spend our anniversary

It lives up to everything and more. The menu and drink pairings go together like a choreographed dance. The presentation and ambiance is fun and unique. The food is amazing…breathtaking with the combinations, the flavors, the contrast it’s all well worth the money .

The good: beautiful atmosphere. The service was courteous and outstanding. Everything was top-notch quality. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. You indeed get what you pay for. Most foods are more western flavored (French, Italian, etc…). There were many flavors I never knew existed, so it was eye-opening. It deserved 5 stars, and I highly recommend it!!The not-so-good: I have a heavy pallet. I normally enjoy Chinese, Indian or African cuisines. Unfortunately, western food does not satisfy my tastebuds. Even so, I was not disappointed by this experience because that’s only personal preference!

Great food and drink pairing ?. Very selected as they only seat 12 maximum. Great service. There were a lot of fish and seafood (and I don't like them) so I let them know in advance. They made a great substitution that still pairs with drinks. Love the drink pairing (beer, wine, non alcoholic AND sake !!!) With so many courses and only 2 hrs, I didn't feel like I could linger on any course. For the experience, the price is fair ($$$$).

Definitely an amazing experience!!!! Highly recommend - I had not been to anything like this before and loved it!!! The lobster dumpling in the sea urchin broth was soooooo good and definitely the fav. We got the non alcoholic pairing and definitely did not miss out on anything!! Loved this place

A few of my coworkers and I booked the Tasting Counter for a nine course dinner. The atmosphere was amazing this was a very unique set up. The food looks amazing but I wish I could say the same about the taste of it. There was nothing special about the food it was mediocre and very cheap to prepare. Each individual person had the option to choose whether they wanted wine, beer or a non-alcoholic cocktail to go with their food. The beer options were terrible they were basically promoting the beer from next door. Their wine options were not that great at either. I had tried a few of their mock tails which were pretty good but I wish that it contained alcohol. Overall it was a great experience. I'm just not sure if I would go back just because it's not worth the price.

Came to Tasting Counter for the lunch sitting. The restaurant is located at the back of Aeronaut brewery and is very inconspicuous. It's a small dining area where everyone is seated around the chefs. Very intimate and cozy spot. We arrived at 1:00pm and were seated right away. I chose the non alcoholic pairing and my husband had the sake pairing. The non alcoholic pairing was sooo great - each drink was unique and complimented the dish so well. It started with a red pepper beverage, a peach and thyme drink a cucumber and lemon and an olive oil beverage! They started the meal with welcome bites that were French onion soup, yellowtail ceviche and a sunflower seed macaroon. Each was so unique and had an abundance of flavors. The lobster dumplings were amazing! The highlight of the meal for me. It was cooked to perfection and the foam was delicious. The schisandra tea and almond cookie was a favorite for me. The main course was a fish on wild rice and lettuce / I felt like that lacked a little flavor but was cooked very well. The dessert was great too --- overall a lovely experience and highly recommend this spot. It did feel a little rushed as it's a lot of food to eat in a hour - I would recommend doing the 1 pm seating so it's less rushed!

Very creative food and wonderful wine pairings. As good as it gets in the greater Boston area.

The dishes are always delicious and as you can see - beautifully and carefully plated as well! I strongly recommend the sake pairing ❤️

The service wasn't great for the price, food is ok. There are just way to many choices that are better.

The entire experience was amazing. Staff is super friendly. They literally are preparing your food in front of you. It's not only beautifully prepared and tasty but the platings are spectacular. The variety of ingredients is vast as well. Some local, some foreign some home grown. We did the non-alcoholic version and the homemade drinks were delicious! While you may think there isn't a lot on the plates, you come out of there very full. I'd highly recommend this experience.

Went to Tasting Counter for their 3-course lunch menu with wine pairing, a great steal for $95 (now $110 as of July 1, still sensible regardless). All courses were delicately prepared, the sea bass was just steamed right and pairs well with the charred & fermented white asparagus. The dessert and petit fours left a great impression on me. Wines are largely led by natural wines.
