Seabiscuit is permanently closing on 2024/03/14, so I moved it to the top of my to-visit list, especially since there are not many Aussie food places in Boston. It has a very nautical and private vibe and (thankfully) has its own parking lot. Service was fast and very friendly. - Beef Stew Pie ($14.50): Expensive for the size but delicious. The inside was all meat. Despite the name, it wasn't a stew in the sense that liquid spilled out when cut, so you could eat it by hand. The meat was tender and had a sweetness to it, which I liked because I was worried it would be too salty. The pie crust was nice and flaky. I probably should have tried this with ketchup, as is the tradition. - Lamington ($5.95): Larger than I expected. These are prepackaged and stored in the fridge. Eating it cold was refreshing. The inside was a dense sponge cake that I wish had been moister, but I enjoyed it overall. Coconut is the dominant flavor, so if you're not a fan of that, this is not the dessert for you. Overall, this place was worth the trip, so check it out while you still can!

I’ve been coming here for a couple years now and it used to be a great spot for fish and chips or meat pies. The quality of the food has started to take a dip over the past year or so. Small portions, high prices, lacking seasoning. It’s really a shame because there’s no other restaurant in eastie like this and we used to love bringing friends and family here. We might stick to grabbing a quick pastry or the occasional sausage roll.

Nothing very fancy, just honest food cooked well and reasonably priced in an unpretentious setting by the docks. Indoor seating for maybe 20, more on patio under awning.I've had bigger servings of biscuits and gravy, but this was very tasty; nice buttermilk biscuits, tasty white gravy, and more crumbled sausage in the gravy than I expected. Cost, with coffee and tax but not tip, only $16.51. That alone is worth returning for.Parking: Parking lot isn't huge, and appears to be shared with some of the other buildings, but had plenty of space when I was there (admittedly on 12/31). There might be an issue if they get a heavy workday lunch rush. Didn't check for street parking.

I lived in Eastie for too long before hearing about this place. Such a unique experience and absolutely delicious. Check this place out on a warm day where you can walk around and catch some views. They have some beers too for your afternoon buzz.

Yummy food. Super fast service. A definite win in an otherwise bleak area. Make sure to check for the daily specials

Cozy neighborhood bar/cafe with delicious Aussie pies and pastries. It's a weekly spot for us as their savory scones are addicting.

Go for: A unique and delicious food experience you want to share with everyone while also keeping it a secret to preserve the charm.Avoid if: You're feeling unadventurous or generally dislike things like chicken pot pie.Something surprising: The cold desserts and pastries (for takeaway or to eat there) are phenomenal.Reservation needed? No, but be mindful of the hours of operation.Overall . This place is just awesome and easily one of the top 5 spots in East Boston, but just a little hard to get to - especially if you don't know the area. The staff is funny and welcoming, and the pastry skills are among the best. If you're looking for buttery and savory food for omnivores and vegetarians alike, this is the place you've been looking for.Value for Price: 3Sanitation: 5Food Quality: 5Menu Precision: 5Service Quality: 5Timing: 4Decor: 4Access: 3—5 among the best4 strong3 not too bad2 mediocre1 never again

Lamb pie unfortunately quite dry. Need to douse in sauce to get it down. Crust wasn’t bad but filling was subpar.

This can quickly get expensive, so watch your spending. I ordered this lamb pie with a side of gravy (because other reviewers were correct that the pie is dry), a side of cole slaw, and an iced tea (with a 20% tip) for $32.

They prepare lunch for takeout quickly, which is great if you're on lunch break from work. I was pleasantly surprised by the fish I got on the side of my beet salad- the chef said it was from local waters, and it had just a bit of breading and was perfectly cooked. The beet salad was smaller than I expected- it was more of an accompaniment to the fish. I don't think it would have been enough food without adding a protein. It was all delicious. The berry iced tea I got was also delightful- just a tad sweet. When I'm in a more carb-y mood can't wait to try the pies and other baked goods that they are known for.
