The Burren is hands down one of our favorite spots to play in Boston! The energy is always incredible, the crowd brings the best vibes, and the atmosphere is perfect for live music. We love hosting our showcases here and can’t wait for the next one!

The Burren is not a secret, but it is amazing. The atmosphere is great: the lighting is cozy, and the wood decor really sets a tone that I love. The food is also very good; the corned beef hash for brunch and the beef and Guinness stew for dinner are particular favorites of ours. The live music is also extremely charming; there's a variety, but Irish folk music is the dominant genre (as you might expect), which matches the atmosphere of the bar perfectly.

Warm intimate spot for listening to music while happily eating and drinking and making new friends. Photo&video of recent NEIHO concert in the Backroom at the Burren (the Backroom is usually ticketed performances with seats at tables with food and drink service; the front is a large casual bar area with impromptu musicians).
Vegetarian options: Some vegetarian items on menu and more on the specials - veggie burgers, healthy quinoa bowls, veggie Guinness stew, veggie Shepard's Pie which isn't a pie, mediterranean snack plate, felafel....
Awesome sold out show for Zion Rodman. Good food and great bartenders.

As good of an Irish pub as you can find. The Guinness is always very good, the staff are smiley and fun. The atmosphere is rowdy, more exuberant in a fun way. It’s been full each time I’ve been in any time of day.decorated like a traditional Irish bar.

Frozen food, we told the waitress, and she didn't care and said that's just how it's made. Can you imagine telling a client that you'd be fired. The place looks like it would be good, but the food is frozen or bland. Honestly, just skip it they'll be a wait. Why I have no idea.

this is the coziest bar i’ve been to in a long time. really genuine staff, good food and a great draft list. plus a live irish jam with lots of fiddles! i got the shepards pie and it was delicious. if i lived in somerville i would be there regularly.
