The Hollows is great! It looks amazing and the food is delicious. Staff was efficient and friendly. Everything we ordered was excellent, from the homemade bread to the salmon and house-made veggie burger. A lot of thought clearly went into making this place a lot of fun and a very welcome addition to the neighborhood. Highly recommended!

Espresso martini and a green bean casserole - what more could a girl want. Such a cute atmosphere, I could bring a boardgame or a book and spend a while here.

Had the fries and the cheese dip and they were truly great. Drinks were good, too! Friendly staff and good vibes — place feels like it’s been open for a while, not brand new.

Amazing food, super cool atmosphere, drinks are a mix of the classics and some unique flavors. Would highly recommend if your looking for a nice dinner, a place to celebrate with friends, or just grab a quick drink - The Hollows is the real deal and has something for everyone (make sure you check out the fireplace)

Went in on the way home to check out the new spot in the neighborhood, ordered 2 miller highlifes and their French 75 to drink, and the American chop suey and the burger with the house bread and butter to start. Bread was good and warm, and the butter was sweet and plentiful for the portion. My burger was cooked medium as requested and the burger patty quality was good, my only qualm would be the bun was a tad dense. I got a side of fries with a side of beef gravy and that was delightful. The chop suey was served with a marrow bone which my partner was very into. They didn’t have a dessert menu yet, but they did have a birthday owl at the table next to ours. Three individuals introduced themselves as the ownership team during our meal, a very pleasant visit and good vibes for their first month.

The vibe is warm and cozy while remaining alt and spooky. The food is fantastic, with a couple lovely little nods to Rudy’s (RIP) including some truly delicious queso. The drink menu is creative and they certainly don’t water them down! But nothing, nothing compares to the service. I went with a large group of friends and they managed to squeeze us in. The host was a sweetheart, the bartender was friendly and knowledgeable, and our server, Grace, was so friendly and personable that it immediately felt like we’d been besties for years. 100000% recommend!

Since the day I noticed the mural being painted out front I knew I’d have to check this place out. We went on night 3 of being open and the place was bumping! 40 minutes of being open (5:40pm) and every table and bar seat was filled. We got our appetizers before our drinks but we didn’t mind since we were enjoying the atmosphere. The bread and butter was yum, the GREENBEAN CASSEROLE WOWOWOW and the frisee salad was a little salty but the egg was perfectly poached and delish as well. The Negroni was tasty, the beer taps were crisp. Can’t wait to come back!!

Was hoping for more. Everything was mostly fine except the fried chicken was extremely dry. The Negronis were fine but ratios were off. We ordered 3 espresso martinis and 1 was a completely different color (much lighter) than the other 2.

Yesterday (Friday, 14Nov25) was their second evening of service and it was BUSY. I surprised my wife with a trip to this place and hoped to easily snag a two top since we got there around 5pm on a Friday, boy did I miscalculate. We got there and was told there was going to be a 30min wait, a hour later our table was as ready

She got the maple old fashioned and I got the espresso martini, both were very good.

We started with the bread and butter (bread was fine, soft but not warm and the butter tasted like a sweet cream butter), cheese fries w mushroom gravy (I like mushrooms and this gravy was MUSHROOMY, kind of just like a rendered down cream of mushroom soup, which is to say it was as good just be prepared for a mushroom punch to the face). Spoiler alert: as others hav mentioned, the fries were fried well and were my favorite food of the night. As a fan of Cantonese food, I saw braised tripe as an appetizer and had to try it; much different than the dim sum tripe I'm used to (worked well w the cannolini beans but you kind of just got the texture of triple and not really the flavor).

For my wife's main she got the veggie burger (bean based patty, said it was dry) w the side salad; her favorite part of the meal was the side salad (just mixed greens, no tomato or cucumbers etc), was head over heels w whatever dressing they used. I heard good reviews about the fried chicken so I tried it for myself. I'm usually an asshole and request dark meat but as this was their second day, I stopped myself. It came out piping out and did look a smidge black in some places but the chicken itself was cooked very well, still juicy inside. However the breading was very bland and the accompanying veggie slaw was fine. As someone who got accustomed to the GFC (Greek fried chicken) of Committee in the Seaport + Highland Fried's fried chicken, I was hoping this could be my new fried chicken place but alas it is not it.

All of which is to say I would come back here but after the opening craziness dies down!

You can always tell a lot about a place by the small details, and The Hollows nailed it: the bread was perfectly fresh and warm.

all of the food was great everything should at least be rated 10 stars. The fries were my favorite because they have just the right amount of salt, I also loved the fried chicken because the seasoning was GREAT. The fire place was great. Out of all if I could rate this place any number i would be 100 everything was FANTASTIC

Went on opening night. Such a great addition to the neighborhood. Good vibes, local feel. Food is clearly made with care. The fried chicken was juicy not dry, and the seasoning is something special. Drinks are tasty with an intriguing menu. Music = spot on. Staffing level was on point and everyone was on their A game. Will always miss Rudy’s, but so far we love the changes they made. Wishing them super success!

Great new neighborhood spot for Teele Square with great food, drinks, and service. Large bar area and cozy dining room with a semi-primate table in the back means there’s something for everyone here!
