Our party of 7 liked the indoor seating and ambiance. Ever enjoyed their drinks, meals, and service!

Ok, but expensive. Something has changed recently, the quality used to be so much higher. You will find better food and drinks elsewhere for cheaper unfortunately.

Painted Burro Somerville is my fav restaurant!! Not only is the food delicious and the drinks well made, the staff is also the nicest!!! They are so welcoming!!! They ensure you are well taken care of!! I have food allergies and they take good care of me, even going above and beyond!! Best place around!!

I've enjoyed dining here several times. I liked their covered outdoor seating, the chimichanga, the fajitas, the nachos, and the cocktails.

Junk fees on the check. Don't go here.

Also, for some reason, they served out meal in reverse. We received the entrées, then the appetizers, the our drinks last. What's up with that?

Immediately got sick after trying the chorizo nachos. Threw up in the bathroom and all the way walking home. Something was clearly off about it. The staff and Manager were lovely and responsive in every way possible but I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone. My experience there almost warrants a health department inspection to assure all product is cooked properly (this is coming from a restaurant professional who gives the benefit of the doubt to all places I visit). Great staff/hospitality reaction to a very poor dinner.

8$ for a cold brew coffee. Poured from a plastic container into a plastic cup. Unbelievable. Price not listed to my knowledge. Food was decent, but clearly pre prepared and under a heat lamp. They only do the brunch package which is okay by me, but would have been nice if the server informed me the chips and guac were not included. 60$ for a coffee and some heat lamp food. No alcohol. Cannot fathom a 8$ cold brew coffee.

I thought the tacos tasted good and the ambience was nice. I was thinking it’s a nice potential date place. Unfortunately I got sicker than I have been in a long time later that night, and I hadn’t eaten anything too out of the ordinary earlier in the day and very little. It was definitely the tacos. Now I’m takin a day off work, so it’s expensive twice.

Really loved the decor and the overall atmosphere of the place! It’s rare to find a nice dine-in restaurant like this in Boston/Cambridge. I tried the short ribs and shrimp tacos, and both were delicious. The nachos were great too. I didn’t get a chance to take photos, but I’ll definitely be back. Very reasonable prices as well!

It's not very often I feel the need to leave a review, but Kemil and Gaby are worth every second it takes to make one. My husband and I enjoyed everything!!! The atmosphere is great, food is good, but the drinks and the skill their bartenders have is exceptional. Kemil went above and beyond with his recommendations, bartender skills, and energy overall. If you're reading this, you will not regret going for some tacos and drinks at the bar!

Slow night, but the service was a bit off. Food is great, and the atmosphere is good as well.

Knowing this place for many years and after returning it was a great disappointment because of the host. The food was good but the host was extremely rude and yelled at us because were confused about the order and never apologized.

Enormous horchata cold brews are my lifeblood now. Their brunch deal is 10/10 if you being a few friends.

Years later I'm still loving the Burro. I know they have a new location in Harvard but the reviews are all over the place so I just haven't bothered to go. If you want tapas or good brunch and are concerned by the dearth of Mexican options in Cambridge or Somerville, then look no further.

Vegetarian options: Adequate menu. Asked for several veggie dishes and was brought meat.
