Great gluten free options
Good food, not cheap but not too expensive. Strong flavors. Really flavorful peppers. Overcooked meat. Asked for medium rare, got well done.

Ordered huevos rancheros via takeout. The menu said it was accompanied with avocado but there was none. The side of home fries only had 5 pieces. The taste was average.

It’s the real deal! Real Mexican food (no Tex mex) and great margaritas behind an unassuming front

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the Boston area! They offer elevated versions of familiar dishes but also have unique ingredients and combinations. All the dishes and flavors were superb! Staff was also very friendly and helpful! Love this place!

Tu y Yo ahs been here forever for a reason, they are good! The menu has evolved over the years, but they have remained a go to do a nice night out for Mexican that is NOT Tex-Mex. I always grab a sangria and aim to try something I'll never make at home or rarely get. But tonight, the birria tacos were calling to me and they did. It disappoint!

This review is for a doordash I recently ordered. To whomever is in the kitchen, I want you to know that I love you.
I absolutely love tamales, but being vegetarian, it is hard to find a place that does a vegetarian tamale. Well look no further, this place has five different kinds that all come in an order of mini tamales, and all are delicious. I also ordered chyrro and to my everlasting shock, it was still very warm and filled with dulce de leche.
I look forward to many more dinners from here. Vegetarians, you will not be disappointed!
The Chicken Breast in Poblano Chili Sauce (Pechuga en Salsa de Chile Poblano), Arrachera Mexicana, the Green Enchiladas, Vegetarian Tamales, Mexican Street Corn, Flan, Sangria, and the sides of homemade Black Beans are delicious and definitely the standout dishes! They’re incredibly flavorful and authentically prepared. It’s definitely the best Mexican restaurant in Boston that’s pretty cheap. The Tacos de Birria and Burgos Rancheros (offered during brunch) are other great choices!
However, the second time I got the chicken breast in poblano sauce it wasn’t as great: the chicken was overcooked and dry and there was very little sauce. It was also a bit too salty. Their Tinga Poblana (shredded chicken in a chipotle sauce) was a bit bland and forgettable.
I’ve also gotten the Salmon Criolla main dish. It comes with 2 shrimp cakes (super good!), rice, homemade beans, and salmon in a creamy red pepper sauce. This sauce was pretty good, but you could tell the salmon wasn’t that fresh as it had a slight fishy odor.
I love Tu y Yo so much. Their enchiladas, their sopes, their tacos birria, margaritas - all outstanding. The real star is always the cochinita pibil for me - it’s a must try!
Great food and service. Definitely will come back
