Tasty and unique flavors, but brioche only donuts are boring. Every donut shop needs cake donuts and I’m surprised and disappointed that after all these years USD has not added cake donuts to the menu. Many toppings would taste way better on a cake donut. Brioche is thick, dry, hard to chew and boring.

Beware of hidden kitchen fee!!!! Donuts are okay but expensive. They charge you a 3.5% kitchen fee and I didn't see a sign at the cashier. If you're charging a mandatory fee you should state it clearly at the cashier so customers know before paying. It does say on the website there is a fee when looking it up afterwards but I'm not sure what the cost of the donut is covering if not the wages of the people making them in the kitchen? They say it's to support an "equitable wage structure for the take-home pay between those who serve food and our back-of-house production team who prepare it." For a takeout place, shouldn't the people making the food be making the same amount as the ones ringing up the donuts? And why is the customer subsidizing this?
They justify this by saying "There is a growing trend of restaurants adding a "hospitality fee" or "kitchen fee" to their checks rather than raising prices and in our case, as with many of our industry peers, this is being done in order to make sure the funds directly benefit the production employees." Just because it's a trend doesn't make it ok. Please just raise your prices and stop adding hidden fees to justify not paying your employees that make the very product you sell.
Donuts are perfect!

I typically have had great experiences with each union square donut location that I’ve been to, but had an unpleasant experience with this location recently.
I purchased a thanksgiving preorder for pickup the day before thanksgiving this year that appeared to be stale. We consumed the donuts the day after pickup (Thanksgiving) and multiple donuts were stale to the point that they felt multiple days old. This was disappointing given the price of the Thanksgiving package. My guess was that they had made the donuts days in advance, with the apple cider donut being borderline inedible prior to microwaving. I likely will not utilize these pre-order holiday packages from Union Square going forward.

Highly recommend. The donuts look overly cakey, but they’re not. Light and sweet.

Union Square Donuts was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding desserts. Their communication was efficient, ample, and reliable throughout the entire process. The quality of their work was truly outstanding - the donuts were delicious, homemade, and had a beautiful presentation that was so different from a traditional wedding cake. We loved having donuts as our dessert, as we wanted something unique, and Union Square delivered the best donuts that our guests had ever tasted. By the end of the night, most of the donuts were gone, which was a testament to how much everyone enjoyed them. The seamless delivery and amazing desserts they provided truly made our wedding day even more memorable. We highly recommend Union Square Donuts for any couple looking for a unique and delicious wedding dessert option.

Great staff and welcoming chill environment. We met earlier in the morning and even had a toddler in the mix and was still delicious and lovely. Food is on point, pastries delicious, and layout of seating allows for youbto hear each other without competing noise.

If you're an OG union square donuts stan, I'm sad to report they don't hit the way the way they used to. Check out my video. They are frosted, dense, oil sponges. Bums me out. I think they expanded too much and mass production has meant a decline in quality and care.

Maybe hire more than two people to manage a busy Saturday morning. Also what is the point of ordering online if I have to wait in a same line that goes out the door?
