This is a review of their drip coffee only. It was way too strong and bitter, like they used an Italian roast with a wrong measurement of beans to make the brew.

The donuts looked great but I didn’t indulge.

So if you like drip or pour over coffee, Bloc across the street is a better option IMO.

Donuts made with… annoyance and contempt 🤣

The donuts here appear amazing (10/10 on looks), however the flavors just aren't there. A filled donut that was supposed to be vanilla tasted like cream with no actual vanilla flavor. Red velvet tasted dense like a cake but with no actual flavor to it. Coffee donut was good overall but tasted like a maple donut from Dunkin - it didn't actually taste like coffee at all (which I had been excited about the most). Only one that had flavor worth it's price tag was coconut which was flaky dough and flavorful. If this store put nearly as much effort into the taste as they do the presentation, these would be incredible.

Been wanting to come here for years and finally got the chance to. Had a malt chocolate frosted donut and it was delicious, still soft and not too sweet.

The vegan donuts we got were amazing! However, the iced Lattes with pumpkin pie syrup were so sweet we couldn't drink them 😞

I am extremely disappointed with my experience Union Square Assembly shop today. I felt completely mistreated, ignored, and even discriminated against by staff.

When I approached the counter to order doughnuts, the staff member ignored my presence, said nothing to me, and allowed customers behind me to be served first without any explanation. The doughnuts are behind glass, so I could not serve myself it is the staff’s role to assist me. Yet instead of acknowledging or helping me, I was treated as if I wasn’t even there.

When I spoke up about being skipped, instead of apologizing or explaining, the staff became upset with me for asserting my right as a paying customer to be served fairly. On top of this, staff tried to shame me for not opening the door for another customer who was exiting the establishment. It is not my role or responsibility as a customer to do staff duties such as opening doors—it is staff’s responsibility to provide customer service.

What is most concerning is that when I calmly expressed these issues, two staff members (Michael and his co-worker) threatened to call the police on me. This was not only unnecessary but also felt like an intimidation tactic meant to silence me, which left me deeply uncomfortable.

No customer should ever be ignored, skipped, shamed, or threatened simply for expecting basic respect and fair service. I hope management takes this matter seriously and trains staff to treat all customers equally, with dignity and professionalism.

I got a spoiled filled boston cream donut for the second time. First time, maybe a year ago, I took it as a bad luck. Now again, the filling was saur and horrible
Never again

We used Union Square Donuts catering as a dessert option for our wedding in Cambridge, and they were tremendous. We had a donut wall to go alongside our wedding cake and it was a big hit with our guests. They provided us with a tasting box months prior to the event so we were able to choose the flavors we wanted for the wedding, including a vegan option for certain guests. We would highly recommend hiring Union Square Donuts to add a special touch to any private event!

A bit disappointed by the texture of the French cruller. Not crunchy on the outside.

Amazing experience going in the employees were all so patient and kind could’ve have any better service than what they showed. I feel bad tho cuz it seems like by the time I arrived 7 p.m. they had so many donuts left and the employees would just have to toss them at the end of the night just seems like a lot of extra work for them and is so wasteful

Wicked good donuts and coffee but not sure why there's just a window open to the street and you cannot walk in, that's my only knock on the place, let me come and and look through the case at all the goodies, not a fan of ordering from the sidewalk.

Updating review to 5 stars after owners reply, I didn't know they were remodeling, I just thought they didn't want the public in the store.

Donuts are so soft and fluffy and not overpoweringly sweet. Love them!
