The bread looks great and is worth a stop. Lots of flavors that seem worth trying. Will be back to try more

Only giving 3 stars because I was a little disappointed with my olive bread. The employee said it was “packed with olives” so I gave it a shot but see photos…

Really nice bread

I love When Pigs Fly bread! My favs are the Oat and Honey, 6 Grain and Pumpkin Seed, and basically any of the sweet breads! The English Muffin loaf is good too.

The staff are all super kind and helpful. I saw some negative reviews on here that find fault with the service, and to them I say: hello? Are you okay? If you can’t get through a bread order (which should be a simple, short interaction I’d say??) without beefing with a staff member, I invite you to consider that *you* might be the problem. :)

One of the best bakeries in the state.

Really great breads and nice service. I got the orange cranberry bread it tastes refreshing and not overly sweet.

You defiantly get verities of bread along with different sauce, bagels, donuts etc.

The shows toppers are the bread section. I haven’t seen chocolate or walnut bread anywhere else in Somerville. All costs $7

Nice store, humble cashier.
Will come back.

I lived in Boston for four years and When Pigs Fly was one of my the things I missed most upon leaving. I’d come back every year or so and be delighted to picked up a salted caramel chocolate chip or campfire chocolate chip (easily the best cookie I’ve ever eaten). So it was with great disappointment that, in the last six months, they discontinued the good cookies. They still have okay cookies (I like the s’mores one), but nothing like what they offered before. Their bread is top notch, but there are other delicious bakeries in the Boston area. There are no other cookies like the campfire chocolate chip. Did Boston not love them the way I did? If that’s the case, I’m sorry that the people of this city lack the taste and passion that I have for the campfire chocolate chip and they deserve a world without it. I don’t deserve that though, and I will greatly miss those glorious cookies.

great customer service!!! guy working at the counter let us know that their balsamic is real balsamic, straight from Italy - tried some and it was absolutely incredible. also, apparently all their bread is driven in straight from the bakery in Maine, every morning. fresh as it gets.
