Yafa Bakery feels like a slice of another place and time, transported to the heart of Somerville. The food is outstanding—deeply authentic, yes, but more importantly, simply delicious. The hospitality feels familial, as if you’re being welcomed by people eager to share the recipes they love most. And above all, the atmosphere hums with joyful excitement, where everyone is eager to discover a new flavor or savor just one more bite of a familiar favorite.
I love the place, and I love taking out-of-town visitors and guests to it. Yafa has catered many parties and events where their deserts were a hit with guests.
Sweet and savory temptations familiar and exotic all at once. As if we walked into an old friend's home, we immediately were offered a welcoming cup of the intensely delicious, albeit a bit too sweet for my taste, chai and a bite of baklava. Irresistible selection of excellent quality desserts. One that particularly stood out was the pistachio ricotta cake. Light as air, delicate offering. A large array of stuffed jumbo dates worth exploring. Café exudes genuine warmth a rare neighborhood gem worth visiting.

One of the best cafes in the area. Very friendly staff offering ample samples of the desserts and drinks. One of the best baklavas and chai teas I've had. Easy to get carried away trying everything.

i went to yafa right at opening and had such an amazing experience! the staff was welcoming and immediately ensured every customer was spoken to (and had a taste/sample of different products) and tended to! every single product was delicious (favorites being the chai and the spinach and cheese snails) and i can’t wait to go back!

The vibe can be bustling on weekends, but wait for a table and soak in the charm of Palestinian culture, reflected most authentically by the curators of this creative café who often hand you samples you never asked for, always with a smile.
