Sullivan's Castle Island

I used to love coming to the Castle Island location, however I will not be returning again.

I told my boyfriend about how much I loved the rootbeer floats and how he should get one. Upon ordering my boyfriend asked me to order it with coke or diet coke instead of rootbeer. I asked the kid if this was okay and he turned to the older man taking orders next to him to make sure. The older man became incredibly rude and angry and at first said no and rudely questioned why we would ask to order that. Then said fine but they only had Pepsi products. He proceeded to turn around to the staff in the back and made a loud and rude comment about the order and made further passive aggressive gestures indicating that we were dumb for asking to modify the order.

It's literally just soda and icecream, and if he said no initially we would have just ordered something else and called it a day. I was taken back at the older man's behavior, and turned to my boyfriend in ear shot of the man and said something like: you like what you like and there's nothing wrong with it. He apparently did not like this because we waited a very long time for our 2 drinks after multiple people who were served behind us were getting their whole food orders and icecream. I walked over to one of the staff and asked about our order. He handed me a very sloppy icecream float that has been sitting there for what looked like a while with little icecream. He then had someone make the other drink which was very watered down. We tried to drink them but ended up throwing them out.

I don't blame the kids working, as I suspect the older man probably told them to neglect our order as I watched him pull a few of them aside after. While waiting we did see in full how the older man was also rudly treating the other staff who looked like they were under 18, which was very concerning and atrocious.

Something needs to be done about his erratic behavior, as he is clearly incompetent, and can't manage his own personal emotions and issues efficiently. He should not have a customer facing position. I read other reviews that also mention him as well who also said they will not be returning because of his behavior. Do better, amd treat your staff better.

FOOD WAS GOOD AND NOT THAT EXPENSIVE. THE LINE WAS LONG BUT MOVED QUITE QUICKLY.

Grabbed Sullivan’s one night for a quick dinner. We had a couple double cheeseburgers (those were good), a few hot dogs (nothing special), a chili and cheese dog (tasted good but the bun was too soggy, still good though), and some onion rings (would not get those again). Went back for some dessert and had a couple of shakes. Service was okay, not friendly and they closed early…said they were open until 8:30 but actually closed 15 minutes before that, we almost didn’t get to order our dessert because of that.

Have been visiting Sullivans for years. Makes my summer for sure. Love it

Great spot to grab a bite to eat and sit by the water while you enjoy with friends. The hot dogs and fries are nice to order and sit on the grass to eat and see the pretty view. The soft serve is to die for and great for the hot summer weather. Love coming here!

Had cheeseburgers and fries. Got the food very fast for busy Saturday afternoon. Food was great.

This was a fantastic food stand - don’t expect sit down restaurant service. The man that helped us was helpful, witty, kind, and knowledgeable. My husband got the recommended fish and chips which had a very healthy, and delectable, serving of fish. I had the scallops that were worth every penny, but as the man said - if you want the most expensive item, they’re great. Wish we lived closer to visit more often. We loved bringing our food to a picnic table and enjoying views of the bay. Very quick service.

Fort independence is a good location to watch the planes fly into Logan while eating a burger

It wasn't crowded even though it was a beautiful day. 1 ordered the lobster ? roll & a raspberry lime rickey when I got there. It was ready quickly. The hot dog roll was toasted perfectly. There were big chunks of lobster and just a small amount of mayo - just right. The price is reasonable only $21. And they make the best raspberry lime rickey, so refreshing.

Came to Boston to see the sights as well as take a walk and found this awesome little food shop!

I ordered a lettuce wrap as I do not eat meat they were able to create a wrap for me to be able to get some food.

I just want to say thankyou for going above and beyond to be able to get this guy while traveling some good eats!

Overall the staff are super friendly location is great and most of all your able to breath in the fresh air as you either walk and eat or sit and eat!

I've only been here twice but it's a good amount of clams and fries for 18 dollars although I found the coleslaw amount to be small. Overall you're paying more for the experience. Castle Island has it all, if we can temporarily define "all" as watching all the boats enter and leave the harbor from the hill of the fort while eating seafood.

The lobster roll is just average. The fried clam strip is good. The only restaurant on the island maybe that’s why it’s so popular. If you are not hungry, please save your stomach for some better lobsters in
