Batch Ice Cream Scoop Shop South Hadley

Batch came and hosted an ice cream truck event for staff at my school. They were quick to respond to emails, set up on time, very friendly, and the ice cream was tasty! Such a great success and would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Excellent service, phenomenal ice cream! 2 sugar cones with two scoops each and a waffle cone with 3 scoops for less than $20!

Excellent ice cream shop with many unique flavors and toppings! Batch ice cream is definitely a step above your typical ice cream shop and the 1-scoop portion was large! We were also pleased with their dairy free raspberry option which tasted exactly like regular ice cream! There are several tables for seating and staff offered samples of any flavor as we were making our selection. Our party was a group of 6 and our favorites were the chocolate chunk and raspberry but even the vanilla was extremely flavorful. The chunks of chocolate in the chocolate chunk were huge! We look forward to returning!

The Ludlow 250th Celebration Committee LOVES Batch ice cream. We have had them at all of our celebratory events and our guests are happy we did. Their ice cream is absolutely delicious. We highly recommend Batch for your next event.

We booked the Batch truck for our son’s birthday party. It was a huge hit! In addition to the amazing ice cream, the overall service and ease of booking was wonderful. Strongly recommend.

UPDATE:
I was able to speak with the owner of Batch and we had a lovely conversation. He assured me that he took this matter seriously and upon seeing my original post called the South Hadley location to remove the spoons that very day.

SAFETY WARNING!

We've always liked Batch ice cream so when we were in South Hadley, we decided to stop into their shop.

The ice cream was good but the issue was the plastic spoons. We grabbed three spoons so we could have extra for our toddler. My husband was eating his ice cream with one of the spoons and it cut the inside of his mouth. It looked like two deep paper cuts on the inside of his left upper lip. He was bleeding for a little while.

My husband checked all three spoons and found they were all sharp at the edges. He ended up finishing is ice cream with the back of the spoon and feeding our toddler the same way.

When we finished with our ice cream, my husband went to let staff know. The girl behind the counter went to the back to let a man, I believe his name was Dave, know.

He came out and asked if my husband wanted a wooden tasting spoon instead. My husband explained that we were already done eating and then showed him where the plastic sppon was sharp just so they knew about the safety concern.

Dave didn't seem too concerned. He nonchalantly said he never heard of that happening before. They talked for a little more, then Dave said all we can do is give people the wooden spoon instead. Unfortunately, people wouldn't know to ask for the wooden spoon unless they get cut first. I'm glad it didn't happen to our toddler!

As we were leaving a group with young kids were heading in. I hope they didn't get cut too! If you're going into Batch, be aware and check your spoons before you get cut too.

Umass UPC worked with Batch on Big Chill this Spring and they were delightful to partner with! The ice cream is always a hit with the students and everything was made very easy for us!

One of the best places in S. Hadley to get ice cream. They don't have the plethora of options like Cindy's but the offerings are outstanding. Every option is a jackpot.

My way of enjoying the batch ice cream is to get a tub full and sit outside in the benches. Savor the ice cream & the ambience as well.

First of all - this is my favorite ice cream in the area. It’s the only one I buy in the grocery store. But this was my first time going to their shop. The ice cream of course was delicious! Especially the coconut almond joy flavor for me personally. The service was also phenomenal! The workers are really friendly and silly, and the whole experience really brightened my day!
