Took them 30 mins to even look at us and another hour just to bring the food. We had 4 kids with us who just wanted to play and laugh and seemed like she got annoyed. Kids will be kids !

The Boathouse is at Brunelle's Marina on a bend in the Connecticut River with beautiful views and a chance to book a boat ride down the river in good weather. Open year-round, this place was recently refurbished and renamed (formerly called Dockside Restaurant). Sleek and modern, the restaurant itself is upscale and stylish with lots of space between tables. The place has a full bar and a pleasant, attractive staff. Huge picture windows offer unparalleled views of the Connecticut River. The day of our visit was rainy and gloomy with sleet and snow coming down (April if you can imagine) but our visit was pleasant. We had a fine river view where we watched cormorants and shore birds dive in and out of the water. I ordered a well-made Bloody Mary and a companion had a specialty drink - some kind of frothy blender drink with whipped cream on top - looked delicious! For my entrée, I ordered Seafood Fra Diavolo. This traditional Italian dish featured shrimp, mussels, and cod in a spicy tomato sauce over linguine. Excellent. One of my companions had the same and the other ordered steak tips grilled to perfection over red bliss mashed potatoes. All enjoyed. For dessert we had the skillet chocolate chip cookie with ice cream and whipped cream. Served hot in a tiny skillet, it was an indulgence. I'll be back. Enjoy!

Yesterday I walked into this establishment to grab two seats for lunch. The hostess informs us that we need a reservation or have to wait a half hour. while my partner used the bathroom the hostess then proceeded to seat two of her friends that didn't have a reservation while I was standing right in front of her. Very unprofessional. Imagine being passed over so too high school kids can have a seatI'll never step in this establishment again.

This place has been remodeled and is beautiful inside with a nice view of the Connecticut River. They have a big bar with a pub menu. The sandwiches and burgers are good.

Cocktails were very weak. 4 of us drank at lunch and all 4 drinks were very very watered down. This happened on a previous visit as well.

We have been to this restaurant many times! Wonderful view of the Connecticut River while dining. (Check for good directions prior to going). River cruises available. Waitstaff friendly, great cocktails, however, limited wine selection. Very casual. Did not feel rushed. Seats at the large bar for cocktails and lunch/dinner too. By far the most fresh fish consistently, unless you are at the shore. Lightly battered haddock and hand cut fries are great, ( Fish and Chips), large portions. Telaxing- Not fancy! Recommend!

Held a post funeral luncheon at the newly renovated Boathouse Restaurant on the Connecticut River. Everything was great -food, service, ambiance, parking, and price. They were able to handle a large group (80 or so) with ease. Waitstaff was especially attentive to children and gluten free guest. Many people told me they will return.

This is now under new management (nice improvement, with much better food) and is a pretty spot not the Connecticut River. Spring to Fall you can take a cruise on the Lady Bea or hold an event under the lovely tent. Worth the trip

New owners, a new name, a smaller menu, and worse than before. Need I say more? You cannot eat a view. Find somewhere else to dine.

We had fish and chips and the clam strip dinner. Clam Strips were really good and the fish was Ok. Batter the fish was cooked in reminded us of the type used on frozen fish from the super market, good but not great. Clam Strips were really good. Portions were good sized and the service was excellent. Nice view of the river as an added bonus. Glad we stopped and will certainly pop in the next time we are in the area.

We found Dockside about two months before the change over to the Yee family. Before the change over I had the fish tacos 3 times and loved them. Thought they were the best ones I ever had. After the changeover I was pleasantly surprised they still had them on the menu and ordered them. They tasted nothing like the original ones. They were so heavy that I finished a 1/2 of one and didn't even bother to eat the second one that I took home. The waitstaff very pleasant and quick. The crab appetizer was good and the turkey sandwich was also good. I just wish they would go back to the original fish taco from the original Dockside because it was wonderful.
