Mrs. Murphy's has long held a reputation as one of the top doughnut destinations in the area, and as a resident of Connecticut, I've made the trek to their location numerous times, always eager to indulge in their delightful treats. The introduction of a drive-thru setup during the Covid era was a game-changer, offering convenience and safety in equal measure. This shift also brought with it the convenience of accepting credit cards, a welcome change from the previous cash-only policy. In the past, when they operated solely as a storefront, the sight of an ATM in the entryway served as a reminder of the inconvenience for non-cash carriers like myself. However, the real star of the show remains the doughnuts themselves. Each visit presents an array of options ensuring that there's something to satisfy every craving. Mrs. Murphy's consistently delivers on taste and quality, making it a must-visit for doughnut enthusiasts in the area.

I highly recommend this doughnut shop to anyone looking for a delicious donut. The prices were also very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the doughnut. There's usually a wait but it's well worth it. All the staff is very welcoming and friendly.

Because of covid it does not measure up to par. Most counters are blocked off and really don't think I will go back.

Best place for donuts! Been going there since I was a little kid. Still make a point to stop when I'm in town visiting since I moved out of state. Top notch old fashion made donuts.

My favorite donuts ever. I have had some of the biggest donut shops on the east and west coasts. None compare. So glad they opened the inside again.

I absolutely recommend trying Mrs. Murphy's Donuts! Amazing quality even on a simple glazed donut. I ordered 2 dozen donuts consisting a dozen of regular donuts and then some specialty donuts. I couldn't believe how good the quality was on everything absolutely amazed! Lastly I highly recommend the glazed donut stick and also the cookie monster donut.

I moved my family back to the area in Oct of 23’ and was devastated to think my kids would have to grow up not knowing what its like to be inside the store. We are all VERY happy the shop is fully open again.

Went today on day 3 of in-store opening! Covid restrictions have long been over but this was possibly the last place (besides DMV), to keep everyone out and forced you to use the drive-thru as a less than ideal experience. Anyhow, the positives were nice young cheery kids running the front end and they now have a POS system to use cards! It was somewhat busy but the lines moved quickly. You can leave fast unless you order a coffee or breakfast sandwich, which kind of throws them off for whatever reason. They ran out of some "hot" donut items 2 hrs before close. I am not sure how you run out of the requested items you only sell but no worries. The sad part for us was the donuts. Mind you, a few were ok and tasted "fresh", like recently made. But the rest, not so much. They tasted slightly stale with an old oil taste. They reminded me a lot of when Whole Donut and Dunkin stopped making in-store donuts and outsourced them to be made elsewhere. Kind of like day old or two-day old donuts that were left on the shelf for day 3 opening, it showed. Sadly, after this, we will not make the trek out to Mrs anymore and will stay more local and maybe find a new spot. Not sure if they changed owners or the owners tried to cut some new corners. Either way, they aren't bad, nor are they great anymore. Just our opinions.
