We are lucky to have in this area several great ice cream shops. This is definitely one of them and it brings a little bit of history, out of this very shop the founding brothers of friendly's started their summer business of selling ice cream at " the summer house. " The brick structure that is the basis of the restaurant today was the historical summer house for friendly's. At that time congamond lakes was a huge summer destination for people in the area. Summer House is always a great restaurant. The staff is consistently friendly, and the food is great. They have relatively short wait times and a variety of menu options. Their fries are super crunchy. The ice cream is delicious! They also have kid friendly options, including high chairs and a kids menu. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area!

Went there today I am 10 weeks pregnant and I asked if the sherbet was pasturized and the cashier responded very coldly I don't know and didn't offer to ask a manager if it was. I had my husband get me a small but still was very cautious and didn't eat it all.
