I have been a customer at the Black and White Grill since it opened. We love to eat in or get take out. Over the last several months we have noticed a change in the quality of their food. Tonight I ordered a Greek Salad and an Antipasto Salad. Both salads appeared to be well made until we dug in. The lettuce was not fresh and a good amount of it was brown. After picking around the brown lettuce more than half of both salad went into the trash. I can say that my son’s calzone was very good. Very disappointed in what was once our favorite family restaurant. When you pay $20+ for a salad you expect quality and not produce that should have been tossed in the trash a couple of days earlier.

There are not many choices for restaurants in the Rutland and Spencer areas. I find black & white has an extremely diverse menu. And it's almost impossible not to find something that you like. Definitely a place worth going to the ean get very busy. Best make reservations if you can. Particularly on weekends. They do have some options such as prime rib that are only served on certain days of the week. Overall, a very good restaurant with lots of choices. I recommend it.

Chose the igloo experience. Unfortunately, it was raining. We noticed that the servers were not covering the food. We asked that ours be covered when brought to us. Outdoor chairs were a little uncomfortable and it was a very long wait for our food. It took about 40 mins for baked Mac, chicken tenders, and baked stuffed ravioli. The food was good. Our server was good.

Been to B&W many times recently and it’s consistently great. Prices, selection, quality, and especially the staff are all on-point.Looking forward to summer for ice cream stops with the kiddos!

It was our first time here. The food was really good. Everyone was happy with what they ordered. We had a training waitress and she did a good job. They have lots of variety There's definitely something for everyone! From meat to seafood to sandwiches to soup and salad, lots of sides and appetizers and drinks. The garlic parm fries are really good and I loved the steak with lobster and scallops. The scallops were a very generous size. I would recommend the wings and Buffalo chiekn rangoons to start.

Have not been there for quite some time. They already had 2 strikes against them for horrible service, one of which was simply looking to purchase from the desert case and being totally ignored so I left. Had everything ready to order. 1 cup and 1 bowl of chowder, 2 salads and fish sandwich. Took nearly an hour to get our meals. People that came in after us got full meals before us. Server was great but service was strike 3
Wonderful evening! Great food, igloo was awesome, drinks wwre delightful. Very nice waiter. Young man, can't recall his name. However, all the staff seems phenomenal. Highly recommend!

First timers at the Black and White and we loved it! Food, service and environment were all awesome. On top of a large menu they had great Valentines specials. Will definitely be back!!
Sooo be booked the igloos but they were not servicing there full menu out there they were only serving the valentines menu. Exclusion of the full menu was not disclosed. We were the only people outside during that time. The decision was to refund our money and seat us inside as we didn't want the limited menu. Interesting decision by the management staff. However, our server was wonderful and the food was great. So still a good experience just disappointment on the igloo experience.
