For starters, they don't give free refills and they don't tell you that until you get the bill! It's already overpriced, but that really put it over the top. My beef tips were decent but the other members of my party complained their foods were a lot more greasy than flavorful. It isn't a real nice restaurant on the inside, either. I'm sure there are better pubs and Irish restaurants in the area.

Don't let the neighborhood discourage you from giving this place a try. Great food, friendly staff, and they have creative daily specials. Our bartender Katie, is knowledgeable and attentive.

Looks are deceiving! Walked in front to a neighborhood bar and sat in the back with the family. The food was great! We had tacos, boneless wings, fish n chips and flatbread! Everything was great! Definitely will be back next time we're in Springfield.

We've eaten here twice now, and have been pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food on both occasions. It's a nice, simple bar menu (burgers, flatbreads, fish and chips) but everything we've ordered has been fresh, well prepared, and made with high quality ingredients. Highlights have been the fish and chips, the Reuben, and the steak and cheese sandwich. Again, not gourmet stuff. Just simple, well executed, and darn good

We wanted to try someplace new and simply stated we were disappointed. The entire order was delivered incorrect( clearly someone else's order). When we called to let them restaurant know, the response was that the delivery driver must have grabbed the wrong order yet the sticker on the bag was the correct name and was obvious the restaurant made the error.
The best fish and chips ever. And the reuben is to die for.

It was a great time at the Alehouse. Nice at home atmosphere. Greatest bartenders around. Good prices. Clean. Easy parking. I definitely would recommend this bar.
