Friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and delicious food. We were lucky enough to get a table for 2 with no wait on a Saturday at noon (I imagine it’s much busier in the summer). I had crab cakes and my husband had the burger, both were excellent.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere at Once Upon a Table—it’s easily a 4-star setting and very welcoming. The food and service were decent but felt a bit more middle-of-the-road at 3 stars. It's a lovely place to sit and chat, even if the meal itself didn't quite blow me away.

Shanique was an outstanding server at Once Upon a Table! From the moment we sat down, she made us feel welcome with her warm, friendly demeanor. She was knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and was attentive without being overbearing. Her positive and jovial energy truly enhanced our dining experience. If you're lucky enough to have Shanique as your server, you're in for a great experience!

An exceptional place. Our food was delicious, including the mushroom polenta, Mac and cheese, French onion soup and shepherds pie. Great vegetarian options, great wine recommendations, and quick and kind service. The warm berry tart was an exquisite dessert!

Cozy place, attentive service, but the Mac and cheese that we ordered was uncooked. We put the fork into a pool of milk. It was very off putting. I won't return because it is obvious that the kitchen lacks a trained chef.

The lamb was exquisitely tender, to the point where a knife wasn’t necessary—the meat fell delicately off the bone.
The polenta was creamy and perfectly executed.
The mushrooms were intensely flavorful, achieving an ideal balance between juiciness and a delicate crisp texture.
Beyond the food, the service was excellent—warm, attentive, and professional. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with very accessible prices for the quality offered.
To finish, we ordered the warm berry crisp with vanilla ice cream, a dessert created by one of the servers who also works in the kitchen. The dessert was delicate and beautifully balanced, highlighting the flavors of strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, and raspberry, perfectly complemented by vanilla ice cream. It was absolutely delicious.
I was truly impressed by this dessert and by the overall dining experience.
A wonderful restaurant tucked into an alley in Stockbridge. We went for lunch on a Saturday and there was no wait.
The service truly stood out. Both servers were incredibly kind and attentive, and gave great recommendations. I would happily return just for the service alone. We ordered the chicken pot pie soup, pork sandwich, and zucchini strips, and everything was very good. One of the better meals we had in the area and we cannot wait to return.

Having read reviews on TA, I made a reservation (definitely recommended!). We visited a local attraction (Naumkeug's "Winter Lights") and arrived early; no problem. Jody, our server, was friendly, welcoming and efficient. Our starters of Butternut Squash and Onion Soups were excellent. Entrees of Shrimp Fra Diavolo, Shepherd's Pie and Lamb shank were outstanding; poritons were big. OUaT is off the Main Street, but definitely worth seeking out. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Wonderful meal and service - Will be back for sure!
