Great beer, great staff, awesome food (TRY THE BEER CHEESE AND PRETZEL!), amazing atmosphere! The owner Jared even showed my kids a mini brewery tour showing them how they make the beer. They were so excited. Definitely add this place to your list as a place to stop at. Games for the kids, root beer floats, great snacks, and great drink list for the adults also dog friendly! 10/10!

Recently stopped in the other week with my fiancé as we were in the area on the lake. Beer was meh..mediocre at best. Why I am giving a 1 star review is I did NOT appreciate the bar tender named Bree actively flirting with my fiancé in front of me and anytime I asked for another drink I was ignored. There’s other ways to make tips and it’s not flirting with guys out with their fiancées. We sat at the end of the bar by a bunch of beer mugs and she kept leaning over the bar and excessively flirting with him in front of me to the point it made us both uncomfortable and we left. Needless to say, we will not come back here. Maybe hire staff who know something about respecting others.

I love this place! I like to think I'm becoming one of the frequent solo-acoustic performers here, and I can't say enough great things about this spot. The staff here is amazing, which I'm sure is a reflection on how awesome the owners are at Altruist. Everyone always seems so happy to be here; the staff and patrons alike. It's a comfy space with great vibes, and great people. It's dog friendly, which I personally love, and this is all without even mentioning their high quality brews. Come check this place out for yourself! I highly recommend it. 😊

Cozy place, great for a date. Really friendly staff. If you like hoppy or ipa types you will like the selection - if you like sweet or sour or other you may not like the options. The pizza here is not good - don't order it. But everything else was good.

Free really decent music on Fridays, inexpensive bottled waters!!! Some of the beers they brew look inviting!!! And trivia !! We have been coming here for months on Fridays!!! Food also looks fantastic!!

We walked in there at around 11:00 AM thinking they were open but we were politely told they open at 4:00. The owner and head brewer Cam showed us around and allowed us to take pics and buy some merchandise and cans to go. Although we couldn’t partake in a delicious beer at that moment, we will be sure to swing back in when passing through Sturbridge!
