“This place is fantastic! We stumbled into it doing a crash-n-dash in Sturbridge on our way from Bar harbor to NYC. For a place that occupies a pretty unassuming position at the end of a strip mall in suburban Massachusetts, it wildy overperforms! There were plenty of things to satisfy the palate of the typical consumer of Americanized Mexican food, but they had plenty of the good stuff too, including a mind-bogglingly large collection of Mexican spirits and as good a Carnitas plate as I have had on either side of the border. The bartender/sommelier China was amazingly knowledgeable, and treated us to some fabulous tastes of artisanal spirits I had never heard of before. It was a truly remarkable serendipitous find for a discerning Californian foodie like me. I will definitely steer all my friends who might be staying in the area to this place.”

“We piled in this morning for a mini family reunion - and it was just amazing! We sat in a room by ourselves and ordered a variety of food and drink. Not only was everyone happy to be together, all agreed it was a perfect morning all around. Good food, variety of drinks, good atmosphere and a great place to meet if you are coming from different directions. We will definitely be back”

“Absolutely loved this place! The pizza was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection crispy crust, melty cheese, and just the right amount of toppings. What really made it stand out though was the ice cream rich, creamy, and the perfect sweet finish after a great meal. It’s not every day you find a spot that does both pizza and ice cream this well. Definitely coming back!”

“Ordered a party size pepperoni and couldn't have been more satisfied. The roni slices were thicker than average, I couldn't even see space between them. It was 3 times normal. The sauce was perfect, not too sweet, no mint which some places use. Simple and pure. As far as the dough goes, there were more air pockets than in Joe Bidens brain. I remember this type of dough from my Greek grandmother when she would sit on the floor and beat the mixture in a stainless 30 qrt bowl as she made everything with flour every Sunday to last the week. Truly amazing. The quaint dimly lit interior with few tables reminds me of my fathers small bakery he had in Boston when we came to the country from Greece in the early 70's. Ill be going back.”

“We recently visited Hyland Orchard for the first time and had a wonderful day! There was something for everyone. We packed a picnic lunch and ate at one of their picnic tables, visited the animals (our kids especially loved the little pony), picked apples, enjoyed some beer, and listened to some great live music. The kids had a blast dancing around in the pavilion. We're always looking for fun new places in the Sturbridge area and this was a great find. We will definitely be back!”

“In this restaurant, I had the most unpleasant experience of my life. Since four months ago, I have been ordering food from this restaurant on Sundays. Today we ordered carry out but decided to eat in when we picked up our food. I was given a fork with an attitude when I asked for one. We were not offered water or a drink menu. Last but not least, when my boyfriend asked for napkins, she threw them at him. Never again will I order food from Empire Village. They need to do a better job hiring people.”
