Excellent..!!

Anthony's iconic location has been a family favorite for decades. The Athanas family's sons are still doing a wonderful job. It was a quiet late afternoon birthday celebration for my mother and it was lovely. The baked stuffed lobster was delicious and the body was full of meat. The popovers were steamy and delicious. Even the appetizers (calamari and fried clams) were great!

Opentable Diner

Anthony's Hawthorn never disappoints. The perfect place, thoughtful decor, ambience, warmth! A lovely place to celebrate the joy of conviviality. Limited menu, assures each selection is carefully prepared, presented, and professionally served! I adore dining at the Hawthorne! It is an icon on the North Shore. Sweeping views, picture perfect sunsets... a place to linger and enjoy. The best steaks, and fresh seafood and a traditional desserts! So many memories, simply lovely! Thank you for all of the times we have shared. A restaurant par excellence!

We were visiting Boston and were very excited to explore this beautiful city. On our first evening, we decided to have dinner at this restaurant based on its good reviews on Google. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing.

The host who greeted us was extremely rude, acting as if he were doing us a favor by seating us. He placed us at a dirty table with visible drink stains. When we politely asked for it to be cleaned, he responded with clear disdain. Rather than offering to move us to a clean table, he just started wiping it — and given how small the tables are, it felt uncomfortably close.

Later, while we were waiting for our order, the same person started opening the window curtains. Instead of kindly asking us or the lady at the neighboring table to make room, he just rudely squeezed between us, without a word of apology.

The only positive part of the experience was our friendly waitress and a decent glass of wine. Sadly, the overall atmosphere and treatment made us feel unwelcome. Definitely not what we hoped for on our first night in Boston.

Dinning table next to a window with a water view. Complementary marinaded mushrooms were delicious as well as the popovers. Can't say enough about the popovers, warm with butter, delicious! Lobster bisque had large pieces of lobster in it. Stuffed clams were different, was made with a cheese base, broiled golden brown on top . The main meal was stuffed lobster, bread crumbs stuffing with lobster meat, the lobster tail remained intact but spilt down the middle for easy access. The one downside, I did not like was the claws which you had to crack yourself. Waiter was attentive and very pleasant. Overall, an experience dinner , but for a special occasion dinner, very enjoyable.

Great service! Great drinks. Nice house wine selection. Fresh seafood cooked perfectly. Love the popovers too. Really enjoyed our dinner

Anthony's is a throw back to the old days, from an attendant to open the door when you enter to white table clothes and uniformed waitstaff. The view is beautiful and the food was delicious and well prepared. I loved the popovers, so hoot and fresh!! It is a little pricey, but well worth the money!!

Service was poor & we felt the meals was not worth the prices we paid.

Beautiful view, sooo delicious, tender & wonderfully seasoned salmon 😋

Our reservation numbers increased twice and yet the staff accommodated us gracefully and cheerfully! That, along with excellent food, service and a beautiful view made for a perfect night for a very special occasion!

Overcooked Filet, at $75 bucks, expectation was not met, not even close. Comped an app instead of the roast I was served. Weak!

We went to Anthony's Pier 4 Cafe for dinner because we were in the area. We had a window seat overlooking the beach and a delicious meal.

The seafood platter was delicious! They also set us by a window so we could look out at the ocean. Beautiful views with amazing service.

A classic and never disappoints. Refreshing to see the hosts wearing suits and ties which fits with the elegance of this beautiful restaurant. Food is outstanding and the bartenders know what they are doing. Service is always professional and friendly.

Anthony's Pier 4 in Swamscott, MA is a superb dive Ning experience. The decor is tops, tables neat with white tablecloths, views of the ocean through tall and wide windows most serene. The service was tops and the food and drinks everything and more of what you expect from a top-tier restaurant. We couldn't recommend this restaurant highly enough. By all means come and enjoy!
