“What a great night! We thought we were going to a fundraiser, but after checking the ticket it’s next month🤦🏼‍♀️ So since we were ready for a night out we ventured to Swampscott to check out G Bar! Reservations highly encouraged, but our timing worked out perfectly and we got two seats at the bar! Had a delicious meal starting with crispy shrimp with sriracha, lemon garlic aioli, cilantro then we shared a Caesar salad, lightly dressed and not too garlicky and had Wasabi tuna and NY Strip steak for our entrees! Yummo!! Patrons were so nice, as was all the staff! Andrew was a great bartender and seemed to know everyone there! Great vibe, great food! Her food takes you right back to Italy and it’s made with so much love. We traveled from Texas and tried it on a whim - WOW best meal/experience of the whole trip. “I had lunch with friends here yesterday and everything was great but I have to mention that our server, Russell, was hands done, one of the best servers I have ever had. He gave us plenty of time to catch up with each other with cocktails (about an hour!), He paid for a round of drinks because we wanted to order from the brunch menu but missed it because we talked for so long. He said it was his fault for not reminding us! Unheard of! He let us have a leisurely 3 hour lunch, with no pressure at all, and was very attentive when we needed him. He even sent over a delicious birthday dessert without even being asked! Russell is The Best!!”

“We visited from out of state and felt so welcomed by the staff here. The Gal was working alone but still talked with us the entire time while she flipped dough by hand and made pizzas, calzones and subs. The calzones were huge and so delicious! Our Air bnb wasn’t ready for a couple of hours so she was nice enough to let us keep our luggage behind the counter so we didn’t have to it around. We will definitely be going back!”

“Everything we have ordered has been fabulous - burritos, quesadillas, tacos, beans, enchiladas.....Homemade chips and guacamole are the best! All food is always fresh and tasty, and carefully prepared and packaged when we get delivery. The owners and staff are wonderful! Highly recommend!”

“We had a truly delightful experience at Pomona Cafe. The service was lovely, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was so inviting and comfortable. The place has been lovingly remodeled and it feels like somewhere else. The handcrafted woodwork is beautiful and the high ceilings and large windows make the space feel airy and calm. The mussels and gambas (shrimp) were both beautifully cooked and we could have dunked a loaf of bread in each sauce. The salmon was bright and beautifully paired with perfectly cooked asparagus and spinach , the bolognese was also very good as well as the chicken limon. We shared a delicious and not-too-sweet pistachio cheesecake dessert that was very satisfying. The ONLY possible negative would be the bread. All of those delicious sauces need a worthy vehicle! We will definitely be going back.”
