“Last night I had the pleasure of visiting Volo Craft Pizza in Swampscott, MA — and wow, what an experience! 🌊🍕 The ambiance right by the water is beautiful, with Boston’s skyline in the distance, and the service made us feel right at home. Owners Pina and Tony are so warm and personable — it truly feels like family when you’re there. Now, the food… absolutely incredible. Having grown up with New York City parents (and with my own background working in a pizza restaurant), I know good pizza when I taste it — and this was next-level. Their Detroit-style Double Trouble pizza with hot honey was out of this world. 🍯🔥 The Caesar salad with fresh-grated cheese was crisp and flavorful, and don’t even get me started on the cannolis with chocolate chips and lemon — pure heaven. 🍋🍫 I’d happily drive 35 minutes any day for this. The pizzas are clearly made with love, and I can’t wait to bring my parents back to try it. If you’re anywhere near the North Shore (or even if you’re not) — do yourself a favor and try Volo. “I had lunch with friends here yesterday and everything was great but I have to mention that our server, Russell, was hands done, one of the best servers I have ever had. He gave us plenty of time to catch up with each other with cocktails (about an hour!), He paid for a round of drinks because we wanted to order from the brunch menu but missed it because we talked for so long. He said it was his fault for not reminding us! Unheard of! He let us have a leisurely 3 hour lunch, with no pressure at all, and was very attentive when we needed him. He even sent over a delicious birthday dessert without even being asked! Russell is The Best!!“

The owner welcomed us with grace and kindness and told us that if it wasn't to our liking, he would make it right. We were gifted Rice Pudding (the cinnamon....oy vey!) and Baklava. “Went to get lunch when we got to Boston. Was close by our hotel and I love craft beer so was excited to try something local. Split the burger for lunch which was excellent. Tried three different beers and enjoyed each one. They didn’t do flights but do offer small pours so it made it easy to try different brews.

“The quality and presentation of the food was top notch. We were incredibly impressed by the dining room layout and staff. If you are looking for a place to propose to your significant other… this is NOT the appropriate place. As I mentioned the food was the finest I’ve ever had; however, the music was terrible. We felt like we were in a 1990’s discotheque. The music was loud, very heavy beat and not remotely romantic. We did mention to our waitstaff and they attempted to get it turned down to no avail. No coffee or dessert available either. I understand space is limited; however you have two of the finest dessert businesses well within walking distance. Even if you only carry two desserts. I would still go back there for the food with the hopes of different music…even soft jazz would be acceptable.“

She was incredibly responsive, organized, and helpful in guiding us through the planning process, making everything feel effortless and stress-free.

On the day of the event, the hospitality was exceptional. The servers were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure both we and our guests had a wonderful experience. The food was outstanding, and our guests are still talking about it. The Rosa Ritas and Espresso Martinis were huge hits and quickly became favorites of the afternoon!

The atmosphere was warm, stylish, and welcoming, creating the perfect backdrop for such a meaningful family celebration. Every detail came together beautifully, and we are so grateful to the entire Trade team for helping make our celebration so special.

Great vibe / casual and relaxing with great TV set ups at the bar so we could keep an eye on the Celtics game… great cocktails, food was fresh and delicious with a unique flair that the chef creates to show his wide range of training and influences! I love that he personally came out to chat with us after we finished eating. What a wonderful local business that I am happy to support! Can’t wait to go back and try more of their amazing offerings! “It’s a lovely setting right by the water, so a fantastic place to go on a sunny day.

Beer-wise I tried three. One of the pilsners was excellent, another was decent, then I tried a NEIPA which I thought was actually pretty poor. So overall a little disappointed in the beers given the reputation this place has, but maybe it was just bad luck. I’d stick to lagers on any future visit.
