“Last night I had the pleasure of visiting Volo Craft Pizza in Swampscott, MA — and wow, what an experience! 🌊🍕 The ambiance right by the water is beautiful, with Boston’s skyline in the distance, and the service made us feel right at home. Owners Pina and Tony are so warm and personable — it truly feels like family when you’re there. Now, the food… absolutely incredible. Having grown up with New York City parents (and with my own background working in a pizza restaurant), I know good pizza when I taste it — and this was next-level. Their Detroit-style Double Trouble pizza with hot honey was out of this world. 🍯🔥 The Caesar salad with fresh-grated cheese was crisp and flavorful, and don’t even get me started on the cannolis with chocolate chips and lemon — pure heaven. 🍋🍫 I’d happily drive 35 minutes any day for this. The pizzas are clearly made with love, and I can’t wait to bring my parents back to try it. If you’re anywhere near the North Shore (or even if you’re not) — do yourself a favor and try Volo. “We visited from out of state and felt so welcomed by the staff here. The Gal was working alone but still talked with us the entire time while she flipped dough by hand and made pizzas, calzones and subs. The calzones were huge and so delicious! Our Air bnb wasn’t ready for a couple of hours so she was nice enough to let us keep our luggage behind the counter so we didn’t have to it around. We will definitely be going back!“

“The owner was very nice! My mom and I landed in Boston earlier in the day and heard great reviews about the place and decided to check it out. The wings (Wing Dings) were sooooo good! We asked for recommendations and the owner was very upfront about his meatballs (in him not getting the ones he would serve us until 5pm). We got the Chicken Bacon Ranch panini and the Chipotli Chicken. I loved the CBR—the bread was crispy and fresh with a hint of rosemary. My mom loved her panini. The portions are huge so expect leftovers if you get an appetizer!“

We had the Mushroom and Sauceech Pizza, Veal Parm, Eggplant Parm, Fried Chicken Sandwich... I did the Side of Angel Hair with 1 Sauceech and 1 Meatball. The sauce is Amazing!! Fresh, Homemade, San Maranzano Tomatoes make it sweet. Just like I've had in Italy.

“Anything I've had from here has always been phenomenal! I've had pizza in the past and today I tried a steak and cheese sub and it was easily one of the best I've ever had, truly. “500 Ocean is a beautiful property with some amazing amenities. It is in a great location, surrounded by ocean views, restaurants and very accessible to the T, literally right below the building. My husband and I had a great experience living here and had rarely any issues. The main issue we had at move-in was addressed and we were even offered a small gift for the inconvenience. I love the maintenance staff and they are always so pleasant and helpful. One of my favorite parts of living here was having an in-house fitness coach/ personal trainer- Cienna Jade! She is so amazing to work with and has really helped me along my fitness journey. It was so convenient having her come to the 500 Ocean gym, which is one of the best gyms I've seen in an apartment home. She conducts 1 on 1 sessions and will literally work with you on scheduling a time that's convenient for you as well as offering group or couple sessions! Overall, very pleasant experience!“

“Pizza is delicious and the crust is always surprisingly better than I dare so MOST pizza out there. I’ve had thin, thick, Chicago, Detroit and NY style many times over and this is my favorite crust. So ask for extra marinara on the side to dip it in and enjoooy. The owner or main chef last night and I were sympatico on this. Also he’s a total mensch- ordered a pizza and didn’t realize it was cash only, I had a $20 and he spotted me the rest. So kind, this is why I love small town joints. I will indeed be back as I always have over the years. Also, we then took that pizza and ate it at the lighthouse on the neck and watched an incredible sunset and thunderstorm pass over Beverly. What a special spot.“

“Disappointing is an understatement. Our server was not friendly, but whatever I can live with that. What I can't live with is not checking in on our table for 40 mins. This is no exaggeration, I had to flag down a different server 2x before our server checked in. That said the food was fine and the cocktails were very good. The server did comp my 2nd drink after I waited 15 mins for it to arrive after ordering, but there was no recovering from our disappointing experience.“
