“Last night I had the pleasure of visiting Volo Craft Pizza in Swampscott, MA — and wow, what an experience! 🌊🍕 The ambiance right by the water is beautiful, with Boston’s skyline in the distance, and the service made us feel right at home. Owners Pina and Tony are so warm and personable — it truly feels like family when you’re there. Now, the food… absolutely incredible. Having grown up with New York City parents (and with my own background working in a pizza restaurant), I know good pizza when I taste it — and this was next-level. Their Detroit-style Double Trouble pizza with hot honey was out of this world. 🍯🔥 The Caesar salad with fresh-grated cheese was crisp and flavorful, and don’t even get me started on the cannolis with chocolate chips and lemon — pure heaven. 🍋🍫 I’d happily drive 35 minutes any day for this. The pizzas are clearly made with love, and I can’t wait to bring my parents back to try it. If you’re anywhere near the North Shore (or even if you’re not) — do yourself a favor and try Volo. “We visited from out of state and felt so welcomed by the staff here. The Gal was working alone but still talked with us the entire time while she flipped dough by hand and made pizzas, calzones and subs. The calzones were huge and so delicious! Our Air bnb wasn’t ready for a couple of hours so she was nice enough to let us keep our luggage behind the counter so we didn’t have to it around. We will definitely be going back!“

I always ask for extra extra extra sauce, but no one ever puts enough on. But today was different. The manager really heard how serious I was and made a perfect pie for me!
She even helped me figure out how to redeem my free emergency pizza coupon.

Craziest thing of it all is the pricing. Four slices, arancini, and a drink for $16.00? How? In today’s economy how are they keeping the price this low? Also amazing. Just go. Don’t think about it, don’t pass go, don’t collect $200…go get your dang perfect slice.“

“We drove an hour and a half just to try some authentic Puerto Rican food. The tripleta sandwich was the best I've had outside the island, and the rice, beans and pernil were simply amazing. I will definitely make the trip again. Absolutely worth it!“

Saw other reviews stating best GF crust in the area, and it's definitely a solid contender for a traditional style pie for an out-of-towner. That it's substantially larger (by roughly 20%) than a normal GF pizza anywhere else helps, too. Will visit again.“

“Our usually spot is closed on Mondays, so we decided to try something new and I’m so glad we did! The chicken broccoli calzone is EXCELLENT and my bf said the meat lovers pizza is some of the best he’s had. Plus, it was cheaper than we normally pay for the same order elsewhere. “Small Essex Special was delicious, perfect size for 2 to split without leftovers to carry around, crust a nice mix of crunchy and chewy. Relaxed pizza spot with plenty of seating, some arcade games, and coolers with drinks to choose from. Customer service was great, everyone was friendly and they brought our pizza out to us.“

“Stopped in for some pizza after a long day. Decided on the Big Mac pizza. Absolutely delicious!! Ingredients were fresh, crust was cooked to perfection and toppings were generous. Customer service was also top notch! Would highly recommend.“

I'm not a fan of their pizza but their bbq meat is absolutely worth it. I forgot how good it is.

“500 Ocean is a beautiful property with some amazing amenities. It is in a great location, surrounded by ocean views, restaurants and very accessible to the T, literally right below the building. My husband and I had a great experience living here and had rarely any issues. The main issue we had at move-in was addressed and we were even offered a small gift for the inconvenience. I love the maintenance staff and they are always so pleasant and helpful. One of my favorite parts of living here was having an in-house fitness coach/ personal trainer- Cienna Jade! She is so amazing to work with and has really helped me along my fitness journey. It was so convenient having her come to the 500 Ocean gym, which is one of the best gyms I've seen in an apartment home. She conducts 1 on 1 sessions and will literally work with you on scheduling a time that's convenient for you as well as offering group or couple sessions! Overall, very pleasant experience!“

Very loud but fun atmosphere, my wife was unhappy with the his/ hers bathroom with no exterior door to lock for privacy. I would 100% eat there again but maybe as take out.“
