“Such a great experience tonight. We were in town for vacation from Texas and stopped in for dinner. The server was so friendly, relatable, and welcoming. The food was fantastic. Extremely flavorful and just what we needed to and our trip. The chef Nick is incredible and so creative with his dishes. He came out to the table and chatted with us several times. You can tell he loves what he does!!! If you are looking for great food, low key chill environment, and friendly staff… this is the place. Next time we come to town, this place will for sure be our on list of places to come.

“There is an enchilada dish on the menu (I can’t recall the exact name) that is smothered in mole sauce they say is their grandmother’s recipe. This is the greatest mole sauce I have ever had. It is both sweet and spicy… amazingly delicious. Absolutely my favorite dish on the menu. I’ve tried several other items as well and they never disappoint. I’ve heard a few complaints about slow service… you have to remember that they aren’t microwaving junk they bought at the market. This is the real deal! I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“This place is superb. The food was delicious, fresh, tasty, VERY SUBSTANTIAL (one bowl will feed 3!) and a delight. The owner welcomed us with grace and kindness and told us that if it wasn't to our liking, he would make it right. We were gifted Rice Pudding (the cinnamon....oy vey!) and Baklava. Will be back every time I go to Mass General for treatment.“

“My girls and I attempted to eat at the Salem retreat on our first morning of our trip. We waited 20 minutes for a table after watching 7-10 people be seat AFTER we were given a buzzer to wait. We left and came to Dotty & Rays. We got a table as soon as we walked in, had water brought over immediately, drink and food orders promptly taken. The food was fantastic. We had one part of our order missing and once they realized the issue, it was remedied with speed and courtesy. Everyone was very friendly and renewed our experience in Salem. We enjoyed it some much we came back this morning. This is the place to come to a good meal and pleasant experience to start your day. Come to Dotty and Rays!“

“Last night I had the pleasure of visiting Volo Craft Pizza in Swampscott, MA — and wow, what an experience! 🌊🍕 The ambiance right by the water is beautiful, with Boston’s skyline in the distance, and the service made us feel right at home. Owners Pina and Tony are so warm and personable — it truly feels like family when you’re there. Now, the food… absolutely incredible. Having grown up with New York City parents (and with my own background working in a pizza restaurant), I know good pizza when I taste it — and this was next-level. Their Detroit-style Double Trouble pizza with hot honey was out of this world. 🍯🔥 The Caesar salad with fresh-grated cheese was crisp and flavorful, and don’t even get me started on the cannolis with chocolate chips and lemon — pure heaven. 🍋🍫 I’d happily drive 35 minutes any day for this. “I am a huge fan of key lime pie and have sampled it at pretty much every opportunity. Each time, I find something that isn’t an A+. The crust is too grainy or crumbly, the bakery has added meringue (which I like on lemon but not lime), or—and this is the most common offender—there is entirely too much lime in the recipe. But the key lime pie I had at Caramel was exceptional in every possible way, especially in its balance of lime flavor. I didn’t try anything else there, so I can’t vouch for the macarons or other goodies, but if you love key lime pie, RUN to this bakery!“

“I have been here several times over the years. I love their fisherman's platter as it has a little of everything. I think my favorite is a toss up between the clams and the scallops. I love their tarter sauce and the plates come with fries or onion rings which are delicious themselves. Nothing better than to take a road on the back roads of Massachusetts and stop in for a plate. The portions are huge and now that I am getting older - I end up having to share. Side note - Woodmans was featured in the Adam Sandler film Grownups - released in 2010. There is also a small ice cream shop in the back which has some great flavors in case you're still hungry afterwards.“

“We recently ordered from Gallo Nero Ristorante in Peabody for my mother’s 85th birthday, and it was truly one of the BEST dining experiences our family has ever had. Every single dish was exceptional, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with pride and passion. We ordered a little bit of everything, and every item exceeded our expectations. The Thick Sicilian Pizza, both cheese and pepperoni, was absolutely outstanding, perfectly crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with rich, authentic flavor. The tomato and mozzarella salad was incredibly fresh, bright, and beautifully balanced. The pastas were the stars of the show. The Lobster Ravioli, generously filled with real lobster, was hands-down the best we have ever tasted anywhere. The Butternut Squash Ravioli was velvety, sweet, and unbelievably fresh. “I used this place for lunch on a weekday. My husband and I enjoyed raw oysters, pizza, and tacos. We tried three different kinds of raw oysters, and all of them were fresh, flavorful, and excellent.

There was a mistake with the bill, but when we asked them to check it, the staff responded right away, so I rated the service a 5.
