“I go to Woodman's for the best scallops and the haddock is sooo good, too. Clams are loose and juicy - whereas down the road they are tight and crispy - so there is preference and debate about that. I have loved Woodman's for years. Love the place - clam people should explain their preferences a bit more :).
It's a fried seafood place - so get fried seafood - split a platter rather than chowder and cake if you want a lighter meal :)“

“My girls and I attempted to eat at the Salem retreat on our first morning of our trip. We waited 20 minutes for a table after watching 7-10 people be seat AFTER we were given a buzzer to wait. We left and came to Dotty & Rays. We got a table as soon as we walked in, had water brought over immediately, drink and food orders promptly taken. The food was fantastic. We had one part of our order missing and once they realized the issue, it was remedied with speed and courtesy. Everyone was very friendly and renewed our experience in Salem. “We first found mercy tavern last October! We planned a quick trip again this year and it was on our list of places to return to! We absolutely love the atmosphere, food and amazing drinks! Can’t wait to go back.“

“This is our go-to brunch spot for when we are feeling like doing something nice. We always get coffee, the amazing pastries from A&J King, a side of sausage and a brunch item main from the menu.

The venue is clean and nice. Decor and ambiance is elegant but inviting. We are always enamoured with the glassware and pottery choices for the tables.

The staff is incredibly friendly. Shout-out to Isabella who was our very kind and attentive server the other day!

The brunch menu items are great. Sizeable portions, wonderful flavor, and well thought-out. We are fans of the croque madame and the baked eggs. The real showstopper though is the sausage. We always order a side portion before we do anything else. They flavor, juiciness and snap on them is beyond, and currently only $5 for two. And these are the dinky sausages we have sadly become accustomed to- these are chunky (and mouthwatering).

“I am a huge fan of key lime pie and have sampled it at pretty much every opportunity. Each time, I find something that isn’t an A+. The crust is too grainy or crumbly, the bakery has added meringue (which I like on lemon but not lime), or—and this is the most common offender—there is entirely too much lime in the recipe. But the key lime pie I had at Caramel was exceptional in every possible way, especially in its balance of lime flavor. I didn’t try anything else there, so I can’t vouch for the macarons or other goodies, but if you love key lime pie, RUN to this bakery!“

“We recently ordered from Gallo Nero Ristorante in Peabody for my mother’s 85th birthday, and it was truly one of the BEST dining experiences our family has ever had. Every single dish was exceptional, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with pride and passion. We ordered a little bit of everything, and every item exceeded our expectations. The Thick Sicilian Pizza, both cheese and pepperoni, was absolutely outstanding, perfectly crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with rich, authentic flavor. The food was best tacos I’ve ever had in my life!!! Every taco was a piece of art. We had in total 4 different kinds of tacos : the bierra ones (brisket) came with this dipping au jus that was succulent and delish. The fish tacos were perfect and moist as were the shrimp ones with cabbage and slaw red onion so good, the Carne Asada (sirloin) was my favorite! The appetizer of deconstructed street corn was everything you love and want on street corn without the mess! And lastly the flan- a good decent flan- not the best I’ve ever had but the tacos made up for it!

“I used this place for lunch on a weekday. My husband and I enjoyed raw oysters, pizza, and tacos. We tried three different kinds of raw oysters, and all of them were fresh, flavorful, and excellent.

There was a mistake with the bill, but when we asked them to check it, the staff responded right away, so I rated the service a 5.

Being able to enjoy delicious food while looking out at the ocean made it a great memory. I think the atmosphere would feel different again in the evening or at night.“

“OMG Best breakfast ever. Got a western omelet and I must say was the best one one I've had in years. My daughter got the veggie omlet and is the first time I've ever seen her clean her plate! The service is impeccable—the staff are always very friendly, attentive, and quick to respond. You feel like they care about each customer.
All the products are fresh, made daily, with that delicious aroma of freshly baked bread. The breads, cakes, and savory treats have a homemade flavor that makes all the difference. You'll want to try everything! Especially the carrot cake with that wonderful ( calda de chocolate)😋😋😋.
Another very positive point is the cleanliness. The environment is very well-kept, organized, and pleasant for those who want to have a coffee on the spot or take something home.
Definitely a bakery that's a pleasure to visit. I recommend it wholeheartedly! Keep it up!
