“What a great night! We thought we were going to a fundraiser, but after checking the ticket it’s next month🤦🏼‍♀️ So since we were ready for a night out we ventured to Swampscott to check out G Bar! Reservations highly encouraged, but our timing worked out perfectly and we got two seats at the bar! Had a delicious meal starting with crispy shrimp with sriracha, lemon garlic aioli, cilantro then we shared a Caesar salad, lightly dressed and not too garlicky and had Wasabi tuna and NY Strip steak for our entrees! Yummo!! Patrons were so nice, as was all the staff! Andrew was a great bartender and seemed to know everyone there! Great vibe, great food! We’ll definitely be back! — eating dinner with my love with Joe Florentino at G Bar and Kitchen.“

“I had lunch with friends here yesterday and everything was great but I have to mention that our server, Russell, was hands done, one of the best servers I have ever had. He gave us plenty of time to catch up with each other with cocktails (about an hour!), He paid for a round of drinks because we wanted to order from the brunch menu but missed it because we talked for so long. He said it was his fault for not reminding us! Unheard of! He let us have a leisurely 3 hour lunch, with no pressure at all, and was very attentive when we needed him. He even sent over a delicious birthday dessert without even being asked! Russell is The Best!!“

“My husband and I sat outside and had a lovely snack in the sun, away from most of the hustle & bustle that October brings to Salem. We thoroughly enjoyed the butternut squash hummus, falafel, and cauliflower & quinoa tabouleh but the real highlight for us was the apple cider! Holy. It was the best we had on our trip around New England. Not too sweet, served nice & hot, lightly spiced and so, so good! The service was wonderful as well! “I came here last night for a drink and it was delicious - the flower power sour. And the service was outstanding. I wanted to sit outside and it was empty and a bit scary and the server kinda kept an eye out for me and came out often to check on me.
I ended up coming back tonight because I lost my card and this was the last place I’d used it and it was here! So I got the flower power sour and oysters again and then celebrated some more with the ‘cosmic kiwi milk punch’ and everything was amazing and I’m grateful and happy for great places and good people. The food and drinks are consistently excellent, and the wait staff and bartenders are friendly, attentive, and impressively efficient even when the restaurant gets busy. At night, Moxies turns into one of the Seaport’s premier lounge/bar destinations, with a high-energy atmosphere centered around the lively U-shaped bar on the main floor. The upstairs outdoor patio is another great option, especially when the weather is nice.

“Fabulous evening. I made my reservation a month ago and was surprised when we were seated in a faraway corner on the lower level. We asked to move upstairs and the host gladly accommodated us. Our server was attentive and friendly and made great recommendations. Calamari was a little salty, but everything else was perfect! This is always my favorite pre-ballet spot. A nice espresso martini is just right to stay awake for the rest of the evening!“

“This is a mixed bag for me. Tiny place and basic service. I’ve been 3 times, different menu each time. Two of the three times, I found almost all the dishes delicious and interesting (I always have the omnivore menu) m. One time was just bland all around and one dish was very unbalanced and too acidic. It’s BYOB, which I really like (the wine is always excellent, ha ha). I’m so done with QR code menus though.“

“We bought tickets for the Sail Boston 2026 parade of sale (7/11) and I was not exactly thrilled we were not allowed to go up stairs to the rooftop section to watch the parade. “This morning, I went to Society restaurant inside the Westin for breakfast. I had the best experience one could ever wish for. Mya was my server. Her kindness and attention was infectious and tear jerking after a not so great experience. \nAfter a long day of flying and not having time to get a meal, we checked in around midnight.\nOur pilot requested our complementary sandwich boxes for crew that arrived after 11 PM. The front desk agent Nunzio said there was no food, they forgot to make them. We asked if he could check to see if there was at least fruit. In the most dismissive manner he could muster, he said NO. The manager did come out and mention that he could at least offer complementary breakfast vouchers. Our captain asked if we could have lunch vouchers instead because we don’t get up that early when we arrive really late. The manager said breakfast is all that he has approvals for. Understood.Then he went back to his office. Nunzio was still with us at the front desk, unwilling to answer any more questions about other options. I went to my room, dropped off my luggage and decided to call and get more information about the breakfast option, how to get it covered, times etc. Nunzio then said “well you guys walked away” and he hung up the phone on me. \nI put my clothes back on and went downstairs and I let him know that I understood this must be frustrating for him and we all work with customers but there’s no reason to be unkind. I tried pulling a bit of reasoning out of him, no luck, he was staunch and upset that he had to deal with anything at all. He gave me the breakfast voucher, and I went back to my room. \n\nWell Mya and the staff in the Sauciety greeted me with beautiful smiles, kindness and were complete BRAND AMBASSADORS for their restaurant and the Westin! I explained that we were the late crew and our food was forgotten last night, she went into service mode! She got me juice, coffee, and a omelette. She was so happy to make sure was taken care of. Mya’s nurturing and caring spirit over shadowed the entire experience from the night before. I asked about the other staff members as they were all so kind and so present as I watched other people come in. Johnny was in charge of the beautiful buffet. Everything was clean and the buffet was well displayed. Keon was the assistant server and presented as if he were leading the shift too:) I enjoyed the entire staff. I was very grateful as we all do the same kind of work/service just like I do on the plane. Kindness always wins. Hope to see their lovely manager Sandra and everyone again soon. Mya and Sauciety gave me the best experience ever!“

“Overall just a 4 star restaurant. The food is pretty good, it just seems extremely understaffed. I think the best thing was definitely the French toast. It was so good, sweet, crunchy, and the bananas were perfect. The fruit was just fruit, nothing too special. I think with the yogurt the ratio of jam to yogurt was a bit off, but overall pretty good the bread basket thing was pretty good. Avacado toast was super filling, the oatmeal was perfectly made and the pancakes were huge. I think if you’re staying at the hotel this is perfect, but overall pretty mediocre. I don’t exactly have anything to complain about except for how long it took to get food.“

“We were looking for a place to watch the Lions game while in town visiting Salem. This bar was recommended to us by someone we met in Gloucester. The bar's atmosphere small, well put together, clean and welcoming Irish pub. We met the owner who made us feel like we were long lost friends. Service was attentive and consistent. We went back 2 nights in a row. Thank you, to the staff and Kieran for being great! Definitely recommend checking this place out while in town.“

“Had the best short rib of my life last night. Trade House in Salem on Derby St. is a must try for every foodie on the North Shore. A generous portion larger than my fist and perfectly roasted such that all the fat was rendered out of it. Served on a bed of whipped, not mashed, potato along with a soft yet still crisp red cabbage and onion crisps ! And the gravy !!! This was my second trip there and I am going back this weekend. Great service and atmosphere as well.“

“Today is the next day my wife is still raving about our dinners which were both delicious ( sorry to find the center of the lasagna was cool) our server was professional and friendly with great suggestions including a wonderful Bordeaux . Our server Carolyn was absolutely amazing- she was so diligent with the allergies at our table and took the time to recommend things that would fit all of our needs. I came across Nine Elm and read the reviews. They were amazing. So we made a reservation but I was still cautiously optimistic. Things could not have gone better! We arrived and where we were seated was noising, not what we wanted for an anniversary dinner. When I asked the waitress if there was a quieter spot she went to speak to the manager in we were moved immediately. The general atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and the staff is very friendly but professional. The wine was lovely and the food delicious. We ordered the duck and the swordfish special and they were both cooked to perfection. For dessert we split a Creme Brule. The custard was light and creamy a pleasant surprise. We had an amazing time. We will be back!“
