Anthony's iconic location has been a family favorite for decades. The Athanas family's sons are still doing a wonderful job. It was a quiet late afternoon birthday celebration for my mother and it was lovely. The baked stuffed lobster was delicious and the body was full of meat. The popovers were steamy and delicious. Even the appetizers (calamari and fried clams) were great!
Anthony's Hawthorn never disappoints. The perfect place, thoughtful decor, ambience, warmth! A lovely place to celebrate the joy of conviviality. Limited menu, assures each selection is carefully prepared, presented, and professionally served! I adore dining at the Hawthorne! It is an icon on the North Shore. Sweeping views, picture perfect sunsets... a place to linger and enjoy. The best steaks, and fresh seafood and a traditional desserts! So many memories, simply lovely!...
Dinning table next to a window with a water view. Complementary marinaded mushrooms were delicious as well as the popovers. Can't say enough about the popovers, warm with butter, delicious! Lobster bisque had large pieces of lobster in it. Stuffed clams were different, was made with a cheese base, broiled golden brown on top . The main meal was stuffed lobster, bread crumbs stuffing with lobster meat, the lobster tail remained intact but spilt down the middle for easy access....
