I have a restaurant and on my day off I went to chi because of the reviews. The service was awesome! I recommend coming to chi! The robot there feels like labor to be honest!

Love this place - food is fresh and not really good.
Bartender is great, has a really lovely bar!
Owned by gourmet garden fils but better food. Only issue ( or not) is that it’s very quiet - wish more people knew about it🤣. I walked past it for years without realizing it was there but so glad i finally made it in.

Unacceptable Service Overshadowed Everything

My experience at Chi Modern Asian Cuisine was extremely disappointing. With only three guests at the bar, there was no excuse for the bartender to take so long just to acknowledge me and take my drink order.

After finally ordering soup and appetizers, the soup took 30 minutes to arrive, and the appetizers never came. When I asked for the bill, the bartender casually asked, “Don’t you want your appetizers?” as if I hadn’t been waiting the whole time. I told him I still wanted them, and they were hastily packed to-go with no apology or explanation.

The service was so poor that it ruined the entire experience. Even if the food had been great and the atmosphere enjoyable, none of it mattered by the end. When the service is this bad, everything else no matter how good feels second-rate. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values their time or basic customer service.

We got there at 7:40 and sat at the bar, ordered sake and 2 salads and 3 sushi rolls. We were not served until 9:15! Unacceptable! It was busy but we watched as patrons ate and left and we were just ignored even after letting the bartender know we were not happy. He was very nice and apologetic and it was not his fault but this is unacceptable.

I order here all the time. Well did. I attempted to order delivery via card payment over the phone. When card data was entered it was declined. The woman on the phone started freaking out. Talking to me like I was a complete idiot (I also use a POS system im very familiar with these things) I calmly asked if she could read me back the card details so i could see if there was a mistake. She started to berate me further it was bizarre. Telling me i didnt have the money. The saddest most comical part was after giving up on that battle. I offered an ALTERNATIVE payment method they refused. Never knew stellar business practice was to refuse your service to willing patron guest and call them broke because you most likely mis keyed a number in.
Staff has always been rude. Whatever keep them at arms length dont tip enjoy your food
But dont give your money to a place whos business motto is "remember spit in the customers face" utter joke

I get this food for Xmas every year and it’s always be good expect this year was different. My wonton soup was all broth and one dumpling with no flavor. The chicken lettuce wrap container was half filled. My sushi didn’t come with wasabi. Lo mein had no flavor. The food used to be better.

The food is not as good as in the past but still good; constant staff changes affects the service experience for customers- —prices have increased. Lot -they have let go a number of wonderful people with great and loyal customer following - in general not busy as in the past -management is resistant to suggestions -I hope things improve in the future as it was our favorite place

My daughter and I are always looking for a good restaurant for sushi. Maki, ect. Chi was a wonderful treat, and both of us agreed that it's one of the best in the area! We shared maki and makimono. And I had a mixed drink. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted incredible. We will most definitely be going back.

Got the sunset boulevard $20 sushi and got what’s basically stop and shop sushi in a tiny box . Tasteless, tiny, and barely anything on it
