I had the most delightful meal at the dockside pub in Swampscott — easily one of the best local finds. The shrimp scampi was outstanding: perfectly cooked, garlicky, bright, and fresh, every bite tasted like summer by the water. Rebecca’s service was next-level — warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, she made us feel like regulars from the moment we sat down. The whole place has a true community vibe: welcoming, lively, and clearly committed to top‑notch, fresh food served with care. Highly recommend for anyone who wants great seafood, excellent service, and an authentic local pub experience.

I can't say enough about how amazing Dockside and their team was for supporting a welcome home lunch for my son who was returning from being deployed. The team Noah and Kristin were amazing and so supportive and Andrew who helped facilitate this was beyond helpful. Great little pub with a fantastic staff. Food was good, bartenders were fun. However, nearly $95 after tip to get a couple of wraps for lunch and a couple of drinks each is a bit over the top. I get times are tough for the restaurant business, but this place is padding the margins a bit too much. Ease up a bit and we will come back more often, not just for special occasions.

Never heard of a local restaurant not accepting takeaway orders. They say, ‘Just order online, there are no fees!’ That’s because there are hidden fees just like any online ordering service—if you order through Toast, Uber, whatever, the order costs more than it would through the restaurant. The apps just don’t list a fee, per sè. Great place to eat locally, but very silly policy to turn down orders.
