Very basic neighborhood, bar and restaurant. But the locals were friendly and talkative. Very unlike most Boston scenes

Great little pub with a fantastic staff. Food was good, bartenders were fun. However, nearly $95 after tip to get a couple of wraps for lunch and a couple of drinks each is a bit over the top. I get times are tough for the restaurant business, but this place is padding the margins a bit too much. Ease up a bit and we will come back more often, not just for special occasions.

Great place with good food. Fantastic staff. Just hold on to your wallet. Two sandwiches, four twelve oz. beers will set you back $76 before tip. Will be back but won’t be rushing back. $10 for a pint of Guinness is laughable, even in 2025.

Never heard of a local restaurant not accepting takeaway orders. They say, ‘Just order online, there are no fees!’ That’s because there are hidden fees just like any online ordering service—if you order through Toast, Uber, whatever, the order costs more than it would through the restaurant. The apps just don’t list a fee, per sè. Great place to eat locally, but very silly policy to turn down orders.

Have been here a few times and the service is like you own personal Cheers. I was pleasantly surprised that they remembered me the second time I was there being there had some time between the first and second time I was there. Great atmosphere. The staff very engaging. Good food. I recommend the wings with the sweet Asian sauce.

Food is consistent. Love the steak tips, nachos, pretzel app, and the breakfast plate. Wait staff is hit it miss in terms of service, but all are super friendly. Donuts are amazing. My one big gripe is that they don't serve unsweetened iced tea.
I had such a wonderful relaxing dinner over at dockside today. I came in by myself after work. My server Elisa was attentive, friendly and served with a gracious smile and bubbly personality. She helped me decide on my dinner for the evening. My choice was the chicken broccoli and penne on the special menu. It was one of the best chicken broccolis I have yet to have (it is one of my favorite meals and have tried in multiple restaurants.) Pasta was cooked perfectly! I got my drinks served quickly, food came with little wait, and was able to close out my check quickly! Management checked in on me as well. I will most definitely be coming back here!

Lobster, Donuts, across from the ocean, Dockside Pub Swampscott is a North of Boston treasure.
You know you have a great chef when the menu goes from comfort to classy and doesn't miss a beat.
Lobster rolls, fish and chips and fried clams are locals favorites, and yes, always get their donuts.
My personal favorites were the Spicy BluefinTuna Crispy Rice and Seared Scallops with insanely good Florentine risotto, and Haddock Francaise fran says
But the showstopper is that seafood stuffed lobster.

We had a lovely dinner outside on an early fall night with our young children, and our server Rebecca made us feel so welcome and the food came out quickly. You can’t beat a seasoned waitress who is personable and knows how to create a fun atmosphere. 5 stars!
