We come to this restaurant relatively frequently for occasions and to the more casual LIttle G next door almost weekly. The staff are generally wonderful. This time our table was not available at the reserved time. The hostess told us to go to two separate single seats at the bar to wait...not something we want to do separately. As always, the food and cocktails are excellent and the waitstaff is always attentive. We were surprised by two things...in most restaurants desserts are offered gratis on special occasions...this was a significant birthday and the prior visit was a significant anniversary. On neither occasion was there any recognition despite listing this on OpenTable reservation. The chef comes out to selected tables to chat with customers...though we are "regulars", he seems to ignore us. Not sure what the deal is....that said, we will keep coming back for the great food and drinks.

A bit nosier and less romantic than normal but that's because a dozen Santa's showed up. Incredible food. Delicious cocktails. Will return again and again.

It was our first time at GBar and I'm not sure why I ordered the steak. It was overcooked... I think my order was swapped with another steak order at our table. Also, no great steak needs a sauce. The cocktail was delicious and the service was very good. We will try Littke G next trip.

Arancini were great, meatballs also very good. Gnocchi were excellent, light, not doughy & heavy. Pappadelle was also excellent as was the duck. Only negative on duck was skin could have had fat cap cooked more but loved all the flavors w/ this dish. Would have again! Had pumpkin bread pudding and chocolate soufflé w/ ice cream. Bread pudding was very good but soufflé was spectacular! Food and service are always excellent at GBar!

My cousin was visiting from out of state, and he wanted to treat us to a nice dinner. I suggested a few options, and he chose G. We made a reservation for 3 at 7:30 on a Saturday. The place was hopping! We arrived and were told that our table was currently occupied, but they had the check and staff was waiting for them to pay and leave so the table could be re-set. We waited about 15-20 minutes, which was the only downside, and the staff was apologetic, which was kind, because it was really out of their control. We had a wonderful dinner. My companions had the shrimp fettuccini limonatta and both loved it. I had a recommendation from our fabulous waiter, to have the pappardelle with spicy sausage and hot oil, but sub in the gnocchi, as I love gnocchi. Absolutely delightful! Topped off with a chocolate soufflé and crème brûlée. Excellent choice! We will be back!

Great variety, excellent service, and food that feels elevated without being overdone. Always leaves me satisfied and ready for my next workout.
5 diners for a birthday dinner - everyone had a different dish and was very happy with their selection. Our waitress was very attentive and it was a friendly atmosphere overall. I asked for a modification for a cocktail and the result was perfect. We'll definitely be back.

We had the spicy tuna tower appetizer, then each of us got a fillet mignon entrée (medium rare!), With mashed potatoes and creamed spinach - everything was simply magnificent! I can be quite the picky foodie, and I wouldn't have changed a single thing! We also had ginger, beer, martinis, which were delicious! As was the crème brûlée! And the wine list was very nice. I downgraded the ambience solely because of the busyness and noise level, but that's to be expected in a restaurant with such quality and popularity! The meal wasn't “a bargain“, but it was certainly worth every penny we paid! I would go back again in a heartbeat!
