A nice surf and turf restaurant in Swampscott, Massachusetts.
We came on our last night of our trip for a nice evening out and had a great time. The service was good. Both our server, the manager and our waitress were all awesome.
The menu has a nice mix of seafood, chicken, steak, pastas, shareables and desserts. There was an extensive bar with a good wine list.
Food came out faster than we expected which was nice and everything was pretty good. Nothing stood out as absolutely amazing but I wouldn't call anything even mediocre it was all good.
We had a good time and I would recommend them.

The service was great! Food just average like anywhere else in the USA. I love the vibe of the place. A little bit pricey

Bartenders are AMAZING!!! Drinks are good!!! Food can be better. Fried Fisherman's Platter and Trio of haddock, shrimp, and scallops weren't delicious. I was ready for tasty, and it wasn't. The atmosphere is worth returning to try appetizers.

Six of us went for the special brunch menu of $19.99. You can choose two entrees at a time. One friend ordered a bloody Mary with extras, shrimp, bacon, and olive. The shrimp was not fresh, nor was the bacon. The coffee came and it was cold! The meals came, and they were also cold. We asked for the manager, never came but our meals came out again. They were warm. We asked if each meal was cooked individually, and we were told yes. We were not charged for the drink, and when we left, we walked by the kitchen. All of the items we ordered were pre-made in a pan under the warming light. So much for individually made! I would not recommend this all you can eat brunch to anyone! Never going back!!

We stopped in to have lunch because we were in the area. The restaurant is in the water and has a beautiful view. The service was great. The food was terrible! We ordered the tuna tartare and it tasted all kinds of wrong. We sent it back with no problem and got ribs instead. They were very, very small, tasty enough but pricey for what you get. We were deciding on whether to order a meal or not and the gentleman three tables down got the mussels. We could smell them from where we sat and it was so unpleasant we decided to leave.

I’ve been here many times as a normal diner, and also had my wedding here recently! The staff is great, the food is high quality, and the atmosphere is just right.
Nikii really makes amazing events happen here. Professional, yet friendly. Kept things moving without stressing people out. Honest and direct in the best way.

The Lobster Rangoon is the best Rangoon Period! I love this Rangoon. They told me not to post this, but I'm going to anyway.

I was there with my parents and we were doing some kind of brunch special. I forget exactly what it was called but we had to pick to things off the menu eat then and we could get two more. We could do that for two hours but the thing is it took 30 minutes for each portions to get to our table.

My friend Kyla surprised me with a celebratory birthday dinner here. Roxanne was so warm and attentive in the best way. Really lifted my spirits. The staff sang happy birthday and the restaurant gifted me a gift card. They were so lovely. Thank you for your authentic hospitality.

I don't usually write a review, unless I can write a good one, but I am writing this in the hopes that it will spur some changes. I have been eating at Mission on the Bay off and on for a few years. I used to love their brunch. I would get the steaks eggs Benedict that were $25-28, if I remember correctly, or their french toast that was pretty decent. I strongly dislike their new "all you can eat" brunch. I paid $19.99 for food that was very fair, and most disappointingly, cold. There were four of us at the table and everyone had the same problem. I think they are prepping the food way in advance to keep it coming out. Cold egg dishes are not good and the french toast and waffles were pretty bad. For french toast, the egg actually needs to soak into the bread (it was brioche bread with a very slight coating of egg) and it was cold. Please bring back the old menu or do something different with this one. Hot food is essential. The servers were very nice and the view is good. If I go back I will just order off the main menu which is decent.

2024 update: much worse. Filet was bitter, haddock tasteless, scallops are super fishy. Clam chowder was actually pretty good ..but a little cool.
Sad because used to be one of my favs

2021 update: it's getting better! Scalps kinda weird but overall a better experience.
Good view and a meh wait. Portions were immense so come hungry but don't come looking for anything too gourmet as it'll be just good enough.

I have gone to that place since it was Doanes. Many great memories. The Mission in the Bay has a great view of the beach and the food was delicious, the portions perfect. We sat on the second floor deck it was very beautiful that day. We saw old friends, and the music was good.
