Tried ordering pizza after waiting for someone to help us , finally found a deli worker that was extremely rude and unwilling to make pizza, will not shop at this store again. Their loss as we are Prime members and frequent shoppers at Whole Foods.

Chicken used to be cut up in the store, which meant that happened a max of 24 hours prior to purchase. Now if happens at some unknown plant, who knows how long ago? Even the (boneless, skinless) product in the case has that dull, day-old sheen, and that unpleasant, tacky, greasy feel that happens when it sits in the fridge for a few days. The stuff in those hard plastic bins is a step worse, with a little touch of grey, sometimes. I note, however, that the price has not come down, despite what are no doubt significant cost savings on the backs of some poorly paid immigrant work-force at the processing plant (i wonder how far away the plant is, anyway?) I note also that this very same efficiency was effected in the fish department a few years ago. Same improvements in product quality. Have you tried the fish lately (dull sheen; sticky, tacky feel)? Thank you Jeff, for bringing us all down to the common denominator (Stop & Shop, abd Shaws); I hope the stockholder appreciates, because the consumer can see through it. I’ll save the discussion of AMZN’s deletion of ALL slow turnover items to save shelfspace for another time. In the meantime, while cutting back on animal products in general, i’ll support Marketbasket and my local fish and meat stores.

The turkey dinner was a disaster. The turkey was OK, but everything else was so-so. The mashed potatoes were very salty, as were the stuffing and the gravy. The cranberry-orange sauce tasted strange and was loaded with sugar. The only side dish with any hope was the green beans, which were almost raw. The only star of the meal was the butternut squash that was home made, not from Whole Foods. So, how does one remedy such a disasterous meal? Throw away the gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing and cranberry-orange sauce and re-steam the green beans and reheat the turkey. Make your own gravy and mashed potatoes and open a can of Ocean Spray cranberry sauce.

Luv the Swampscott W-F. WHENEVER I’m in the area ~ I prefer it to Andover W-F which is in my backyard. Freshest, best Blueberry Muffin in forever this am!!! Luv, luv, luv the “new” Coffee Bar as you enter - with a barista, no less !!! Great idea. Much better than self-serve which was hidden way in back!
