I've been going to Yans for at least 15 yrs. The food is excellent, no msg, not a drop of grease on any fried food! The Best! And the owners are wonderful people, very involved in the Swampscott community. Go There! You will love it!!!
Ordered take out today, and the food was excellent. Order was ready on-time, exactly as promised, neatly packaged into a brown bag.I was surprised that dinner portion of Mongolian Beef came without rice. But there was plenty of rice included with Chicken & Broccoli, so we shared.
I am a frequent visitor to this restaurant, and would say the food and portions are consistently good, and the prices are what one would expect. The only exceptions are the soups. I love a good soup in a Chinese restaurant, but the ones at Yans fall below my expectations. I have had the hot and sour, egg drop and wonton soups. All are lacking in flavor, or just don't taste very good ( hot and sour).. They need new recipes. I will continue to eat there as the other food is...
