5 stars isn’t enough. From the minute we walked in, the service was stellar. So welcoming and friendly! The food knocked our socks off - really impressively good, and we’re tough critics. The drinks were great - I got the ultimate margarita and it was delicious. Layer on that very reasonable prices and this is a place we’ll be back to. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try.
Dishes: Homemade chips and salsa (complimentary) - roasted peppers, mild spice, amazing. Chips could have done with a little more salt, but great. Empanada (chicken) - best I’ve ever had. Amazing. Mole enchiladas - amazing. Birria tacos - incredible. Amazing flavor. So good! Churros - good.
Ultimate margarita- great and the price is right - very good Blood orange margarita - very good, but a little sweet.

Gave us iced cold food, brought it back and no one can understand that the food is messed up and we just want a refund, not reheated food that has been sitting around. They say manager isn’t there and remake the order completely wrong. Used to come all the time but will never order from again.

We were there for Taco Tuesday. The waitress was so friendly. Drinks were very good. The tacos were a bit bland, especially the chicken one that seemed to have no sauce or spices. The guacamole was made fresh right at the table. Will go back to try more.

Eh, not the greatest. The portion size was good. I enjoyed the food, and my kids did but my wife didn't love it. Drinks were good, staff was friendly. The acoustics in there aren't great though, I know it's petty but it was really loud and there was hardly anyone there when we went on a weekday night. It was hard to hear people at your own table.

Amazing food. This is our go-to takeout spot. We always get the Dip Trio, Tacos Al Pastor, and 1 or 2 other items (we've had the Maya Sampler, all 3 of the enchiladas, Gobernator Tacos, and more). Maya never disappoints! Looking for some HEAT? Request a side of their salsa picante with your meal...but use sparingly to start!

I'm saddened to write this because I’ve always enjoyed coming to your restaurant, especially sitting at the bar and being served by Penny, who has always been fantastic.
We chose your restaurant to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 11, 2025, with a party of four adults and two children. Our reservation was for 6:00 PM, but unfortunately, our food did not arrive until 8:00 PM, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy—even on Mother’s Day.
What made the experience worse was the food itself. We ordered chicken fingers for the kids, which were raw in the middle. We sent them back, only to receive them undercooked again. After sending them back a second time, they came back overcooked and hard as a rock. It was incredibly frustrating, especially with hungry children at the table.
Sadly, the only compensation we received was two beers taken off our bill. Given the long wait, repeated food issues, and lack of meaningful acknowledgment, we left very disappointed. It’s unfortunate to say, but we won’t be returning.
We had a reservation for 12:30 today on mother's Day to have lunch at this restaurant. We ordered cocktails and the guacamole to go with the chips and salsa before our meal. After about 15 minutes the cocktails showed up; the guacamole never did. An hour after we sat down we still didn't have any food. We ended up leaving. It appears they had one girl working there bartending, waiting tables and acting as host seating people. Unfortunately I've given this place all the chances I'm going to give it

Great place the atmosphere was pleasant. We got guacamole and it had a lot of lime flavor to it. So didn’t the sauce for the tacos and the quesabirra sauce. But everything was cooked perfectly, great and pleasant service.

This place is a gem in Upton! It's by far the best Mexican food in the surrounding towns. This food has the bold flavors that you would expect. The Maya Sampler is a great value and there's so much variety! Entrees can easily be leftovers for another meal when you get home. The free chips and salsa are so fresh. I'm definitely coming back
