They say one bite and you'll be hooked. and they're correct in saying that. All the food is freshly prepared to order and the freshness of the seafood can be tasted in everything we ordered. My wife had the Fried sole plate. I had the seared tuna sandwich with wasabi mayo which had an amazing cut of tuna. My daughter had the kids fish and chips which was made of cod and included a small toy shark finger puppet.

Best fish and chips on island! Staff is friendly and funny. Everything is fresh, I cannot say the same about the other fish market in vineyard haven.

BEST FISH MARKET ON ISLAND!!! I can't say enough positive things about John's- the Obama burger is AMAZING, get it as is no substitutions, and the fish at the counter couldn't be fresher! These guys are a longstanding family business- It's hard to find a fishmonger that knows what they're doing and also are great chefs themselves, which creates an infallible skill set in a fish market- all the staff are so nice, have great sense of humor and I always leave there with a new tip about the fish im eating and how to prepare it. I've made the best bluefish dinners from their catch!!
Our first and last stop every season. Kindest counter service on the Vineyard matched with the best food. Must try the seared tuna sandwich. It's to die. Their single oysters are a treat as well. Love! Thanks Johns :)
