I'm a Grandmother who went to Noman's with my daughter, son-in-law and young grandkids. I have to admit that I wasn't expecting much. I was surprised. The concept is brilliant! The counter service was fast, the food was good and there was entertainment for the kids -games, music, dancing, numerous other children. This is a perfect place for a relaxed meal for families with young children.
The parking lot was fairly full when we arrived, but the attendant seemed to get everyone parked in short order.
I am on a restricted diet - I ordered the mexican street corn salad (sans cheese, brought my own dressing) It was delicious! The vegetables were plentiful and fresh. My grandson loved his fries.
The kids had a great time playing with other children.
I highly recommend Nomans for families, and am looking forward to my next meal there.

Was looking forward to another visit to Noman’s. Food as usual was great and we enjoyed the outside area (when you can finally find a spot to eat). It’s little annoying to order food and then have nowhere to eat it.
Totally disgusted by the guy managing the parking lot. Not the kids - they only seemed to sort of know what they’re doing. I get that it’s a busy lot but they should really train the employees on how to communicate/direct drivers. The older guy who looked to be in charge was yelling at customers, calling them names and accusing them of issues caused by Norman’s own employees. Not a good look. And not something I want to deal with anytime soon.

Same prices as in a fancy upscale location in Boston to get food and drinks that you need to order with an unbothered and rude lady that you then pick up by yourself and served in plastic cups and utensils… No view, no vibes, no service. What’s the point to call the place a ”restaurant”?

I ordered a fish sandwich specifically for the aioli that comes in it. They sent me a dry sandwich & the aioli was not the side - they literally just sent a dry sandwich. That is an insane choice.

Nomans is such a fun spot with great food, drinks, and a lively atmosphere. It’s perfect for hanging out with friends or family, and the vibe feels very “island casual.” Everything we had was excellent, and the staff kept things moving even when it was busy. The only downsides are that parking can be a real challenge and, during peak times, it’s sometimes tough to find a table for your whole group. Still, once you’re settled, it’s always a great experience.

I've had a lot of lobster rolls over the years, but the hot lobster roll with butter was the best yet. The atmosphere in the outside seating area was great, casual, and relaxed. The tables were clean, and the bathrooms were clean. The service was friendly, prompt, and helpful. We will definitely be going back the next time we're on Martha's Vineyard!

Amazing Oysters & Laid-Back Island Vibes
Our first attempt to visit Nomans was on a Friday night—unknowingly right when it seemed like everyone on the island had the same idea! We decided to try again on Saturday afternoon, and I’m so glad we did. The vibes were still popping, but without the long wait.
Molly, the bartender, was fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and pouring some truly delicious drinks. We enjoyed a couple of Mai Tais and a strong Old Fashioned before diving into the main event: the oysters. And let me tell you… these were AH-mazing—so fresh, so tasty, just downright guuud! We started with a half dozen, but they were so good we had to order another half dozen. I can honestly say these are probably the best oysters I’ve had to date.
Our kids enjoyed playing a few games while we relaxed, and we also tried the cod sandwich—perfectly cooked, with a flavorful aioli that really stood out. The fries were fresh, hot, and tasty. The music (not live) added to the already chill, island vibe, making it even easier to kick back and enjoy the afternoon.
I’m so glad our plans shifted to Saturday instead of Friday—it made for the perfect, laid-back island experience. We’ll definitely be back!
