The staff was on top of everything and made the experience amazing from start to finish. The French dip sliders were absolutely perfect, and the mac and cheese was to die for! The Attic salad was fresh, loaded with goat cheese, and full of flavor. I had the American burger and it was cooked perfectly, juicy and delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and had a great old-style charm. Definitely a place I’d recommend and can’t wait to go back!

Food is good but … went to sit at the bar ,until I looked at the bartender. A greasy hair in the face disgusting kid with hair literally falling into his eyes and most probably into your drink as well. Then he put his gross disgusting hands thru his hair and grabbed a glass to make another drink. I couldn’t believe it. Then he touched and contaminated the limes and lemons he was using to complete a drink. Then he grabbed some dirty dishes off of the bar and brought them to the back room. Then he pulled out his gross cellphone and started playing with that. And then he put his hands thru his greasy hair again. NEVER WASHED HIS DISGUSTING HANDS ONCE. I wouldn’t get a drink there if it was offered for free. Gee, think I’ll give the board of health a call when I get a chance too….!,,

Went for an early dinner around 5pm with the family. We ate here last year and the food was really good and the service was excellent so Im going to be factual with my comments as I have no preconceived biases.
The restaurant was relatively quiet when we were seated with maybe 2-3 other tables being occupied. My wife and I and 2 of our children ordered the French onion soup to start as we had done in the past. The soup came out ice cold and pretty much bland. We were very polite and let our server know about it and she took the soups back to the kitchen (I haven’t sent food back in like 15 years). They brought the soups back about 10 minutes later still not piping hot but whatever. Our server basically said that because we sent the soups back to be heated up that threw off the timing of our entrees. So our main courses arrived about 40 seconds after our soup did and unfortunately they were ice cold too. I ordered the boneless honey BBQ wings which were cold and rubbery. My son had the chicken sandwich which he completely left because he said it too was cold but didn’t want the kitchen staff to feel bad because we already sent the soups back. My little guy also ordered the boneless chicken wings and they were piping hot and the girls ordered salads and Mac n cheese which they said were good.
There was no manager in site and nobody really seemed to care too much that our dinner was pretty much a disaster. That’s the unfortunate part about this experience as the restaurant business is all about good quality food and great customer service. That’s what keeps families coming back and when families come back everyone wins. My intention of this review is not to bash anyone or anything as it’s intention is to inform the team at the Attic that they just have to do better. It’s all about being attentive to your customers and paying attention to the little details that make a restaurant thrive.

You may not expect to find an out of this world's Burger on Martha's Vineyard, but here it is! This was my last stop of the day and the video says it all. Excellent, well built over stuffed burger, the tuna Tartare is excellent but the freshness really kicked it up a notch, and the fried cheese curds that a random person sitting next to me demanded that I put in the video were addictive. Also the GF labeling on the menu needs to be revisited—there is no dedicated fryer which means that most menu items labeled GF are not GF. The dish I was recommended instead didn’t even have a GF label next to it. This is a recipe for getting people who are trusting of labels very sick.

The food is not consistent. Some things were great, but this time the wings were overcooked and quite dry. One order of fries was great and another overcooked and tough. The servings are quite large so keep that in mind when ordering. The service is very good.

Entering the Attic after climbing the stairway to heaven is always a treat. A respite from the clamor of Main Street, this boite serves up savory fare and delectable cocktails year round. A great addition to VH.
