Delicious sandwiches. Frozen Knish and Pot Pie are really good.

By far the best Rueben within 1 hour of Boston. Great Deli piled high like it should be. Plus they have a nice dessert selection (black and white cookies and arugula) and Dr brown Soda.

This spot is an absolute gem for a classic Reuben on marbled rye. I’ve had it many times and recently it was better than ever! It’s pricey but worth the visit if you’re in the area. Barry’s is like walking into a time warp nyc style deli eclectic

If you love Jewish food you'll love Barry's. EVERYTHING tastes like home made. The corned beef is always freshly made. Best corned beef sandwich anywhere.Highly recomended.

Although prices have certainly raised in the past years, the quality remains a constant. Their reuben is fantastic. As is the dill pickle. The potato salad is a little too sweet for personal taste but still tasty. The Latke was a revelation. Huge piece ($9.99) and very savory and delicious. Their freezer is full of wonderful selections and so some noodle pudding (Kugel), Chicken a l’Orange and some Knishes filled with kasha came home. Always worth a stop in.

It used to be a real treat to order Barry's deli. Just had the worst corn beef sandwich. The bread was dried out and the corn beef had unchewable pieces of gristle. Threw out half the $20 sandwich.

Yummy potato knish. Wish I listened to previous review about the chopped liver. Truly awful. Pasty, flavorless and inedible. Threw it away. Will go back to try reuben but never for chopped liver

The pastrami sandwich is big and delicious! Been a few times. Their customer service could use some work though. They don't call the order when you are waiting. And leave it on the counter, yet have a sign not to take it off the counter unless called. So my sandwich was cold. And like most customer service anywhere in America, rude and neglectful. Nobody makes an effort at it.

I never post reviews and I feel compelled to provide my dissatisfaction as a review for this deli. We are not from the area, and went to try for a quick lunch with some other families that we were with. Both service and food were below average (very fatty deli meat, not grilled) as well as an extremely long wait. We received bits and pieces of our orders in no rhyme or reason fashion. We had a baby, as well as 4 young children waiting well over 30 mins for items such as grilled cheese. Understanding that kitchens have waits and may be understaffed- the service feels more upsetting than food being under par. Still being charged full prices with all of the issues with the waiting for the orders was distasteful. Also, the tone and attitude of more than one employee when we kindly asked for status updates on the order was appalling. My family will not be heading back anytime soon, and we are upset enough to feel that this warrants a review to forewarn others. Perhaps they take better care of take out orders....

The food is great but just very overpriced and the sides of potato salad are also extremely small, which is disappointing

Good. Service was good but thought it was weird that Rugelach wasn’t pre packaged.

I recently bought sliced corned beef, coleslaw and potato salad and everything was delicious. Best coleslaw and potato salad around. I was going to buy a pound of chopped chicken liver, but it looked so dark that I decided to buy just a 1/2 pound before buying more for the high holidays. That chopped liver gives chopped liver a bad name. It was bitter and dense and didn't seem to have any chopped egg to lighten it up. They definitely need a new recipe.

great deli in Newton Excellent potato salad and coleslaw - not edgy 21st century but classic deli bread could be improved but meat and salads a superb

Was my mainstay 30 years ago when I lived in Waban. I recommended it to a friend who lives 15 minutes away for early 6 am breakfast. Most places today open after 7am. He was truly impressed by the service and the cleanliness of the deli… glad to see 30 years later Barry’s Deli is still going strong! Good job!
