I am giving 3 stars because we literally come here all the time and have never had a bad experience … until today. The waitress was rude and rubbed me the wrong way. She seemed extremely annoyed with me when I asked for anything (like napkins, silverware, water and the honey mustard that I ordered that was never brought with my meal.) The hostess was so nice and ending up helping because the waitress barely came back to check on us. Out of the million times we’ve been here my daughter always gets a school ice cream and chocolate sauce instead of the ice cream sandwich that comes with the meal. They have never given us a hard time or charged extra for this. Today she said she would have to charge me extra. It’s not about the money… if I always had to pay the $1 extra or whatever they charged me I would be fine with it. It’s the principle of it. Then she brings over my daughter’s ice cream and it’s barely half a scoop and completely melted. When I signaled for her to come check on us, she responded by saying “I’m behind the bar and have a lot of people to take care of” in a really passive aggressive tone. Again, I ended up asking the hostess for help and she was lovely. I really don't get it, what's the point of being rude to a customer? Don't you want a good tip?

My kids love it here and it’s usually so kid friendly. Never have experienced service like this at the Waltham 99. Very disappointing .

Super sad they have gone downhill so fast.

It's not this particular one, they all have.

It's the management far away somewhere with some MBA telling them to cut costs.

The chicken in the southwest bowl was some form of rubber mixed with fibers and sawdust. The rice was just heated they couldn't even make rice. And it was crunchy. The idea that you can't boil rice and grill real chicken in an actual restaurant is absurd.

Another in our party got completely burned fish

Another in our party had something that resembled a heated piece of previously frozen meat that might have been in a bag and then microwaved.

I ordered To go food, and when I get home and open the canteen. The amount of food was not what I expected the loaded mashed potato was a small portion in the chicken was only six pieces I paid almost $30 for these food I think is not worth it. I order before from here and they usually give more than that but this is the second time that they do this.

We discovered this gem while on a business trip. The food and service were great. I wish I could remember our bartender's name because she was great! We were there on Monday November 3rd around 4pm.

Don’t you ever forget about the 99 New England. Food always solid, POPCORN, and your bill is going to be 30% less than anywhere else. Hoping that the remnants of this chain can stay around forever.

I ordered on uber eats and there isn’t any options to ask for an extra side of sauce so I called the restaurant and nicely asked for extra sauce on the side and the rude person who answered the phone literally said “yea well your going to have to pay for that now separately over the phone because we don’t do that”! Um I’m sorry I didn’t realize 2 sides of sauce broke the bank for a corporate restaurant and considering I just placed a $50 order already! You’re going to make me make a credit card payment for 2 sides of sauce! WOW! Honestly disgusted! That’s not customer service! You should really re train your staff what customer service is! So needless to say I couldn’t get my extra sauce! So thanks for that! Never ordering again and this was my first time!

I ate here for lunch today, and never come again! The service sucks! The waiters served the wrong dishes for several times, or they forget what I ordered. I feel that many waiters here are not taking the job seriously. The sanitation isn’t good either. Many tables and floors were so dirty that no one cleans them, and the plates, forks and knives weren’t very clean as I saw some dirts and stains on them.

This 99 restaurants has been the most consistent restaurant/bar I’ve ever been to. I live about a mile from this location. It’s recently updated really nice bar in the center. Plenty of TVs with any game on any show you wanna watch the coldest beers in the country lol plenty of parking. You could also sit down at the table or a booth. I would highly recommend the country fried chicken, enjoy!
