I have to write on behalf of my disabled friends who go to this restaurant regularly. When they go out, they too often get annoyed and/or dismissive service, but EVERY time they go to the 99 restaurant in Waltham … they get friendly, EXCEPTIONAL service. The food is consistently great (even when it’s busy and a little slower than usual), but the amazing part is how welcoming, supportive, and kind the servers are that work there. It clearly trickles down from the manager who role-models what it truly means to be a family restaurant. It makes me want to patronize this 99 whenever I’m in Waltham. And you should consider doing so too! (It is consistently so impressive that I’m cross-posting this review to others as well).

On a weeknight, it was quiet and comfortable with only a few other occupied tables. Popcorn and refreshers drinks were delicious, then the kind and delightfully chatty and funny waitress Jessica helped us with food recommendations! I feel lucky- apparently I got the last chicken al forno of the night! Definitely recommend it- It's warm and comforting and so cheesy!

Ate there last night got the A shepherds pie ended up giving me food poisoning! I haven’t been about to stop dying. So just beware you might get food poisoning!

“It’s going to be 10-15 minutes wait to be seated.” That was the only thing the host said to us after we walked in and asked for table for two on Monday night with mostly empty tables. Not a greeting nor welcoming us in many ways. Not a single word we heard from them, the host left us standing in waiting area with a very awkward silence to asked if there was anybody willing to take us, then came back with that phase. Weird way to greet customers, I would say! and of course we left.
First time at a 99 restaurant. Food was fine, average for this sort of place. Fries were disgusting, hard and tasted completely unseasoned and practically raw. Everything else was good/fine. However, the service was pretty bad. Ran out of water, no refills on that. But more importantly, we were sitting around for a long time waiting for our bill. Our server kept walking past and not acknowledging us until I stared at him until we made eye contact while he was chatting with the bartender. I assume he was cut and wanted to go home, but keeping us there 30 minutes longer than we wanted to certainly wasn't getting him home any faster. Waste of time honestly.

I arrived after a long day at work on a Tuesday night. The host at the door was sweet, polite, and friendly. I didn't expect there to be a wait to be seated but they were busy for a Tuesday night. I sat at the bar and I'm so glad I did! The bartender, Joey, was so nice! He was a super quick server and so polite and personable and friendly. He served me right away and take away my glasses too soon. He didn't rush me and he helped me decide on what to drink because I wanted a slow sipping drink to.start but couldn't decide. He talked so favorably about this 99 resteraunt amd the people he works for and with. He also talked favorably about his.job and customers. You can tell he's a positive person. I would definitely recommend this 99 to everyone! Thank you.
Chicken breast was dry and broccoli was alright. I was hungry so I couldn’t be bothered. Definitely room for improvement. Has asparagus on the side that was really good. Pricy but worth it.
