Not from the area, but we went to a coffee roasting event and the owner recommended checking out Moody St. My friends and I first saw Amuleto when driving too Moody St. We all like Mexican, so agreed to try it. This place did not disappoint. They seemed short-staffed at that moment, but they waiter managed just fine. Great food and drink selection and my friends are vegetarians and had no issues choosing their lunch or apps. Overall, the place is really nice inside and the food was great!I'm down in the New Bedford area and we have our fair share of great restaurants, but I would come back here again, with more friends.

The waiter refused to split up our check when we asked for separate checks. The waiter appeared visibly annoyed. He assertively said he will only divide the check 4 ways. How is that fair to the other guests at the table to pay more? I want to pay for what I ordered. I would not recommend.

Food was alright. Walked in and received salsa and guacamole with chips then the waiter came asking if we ordered the guacamole and we said no. Not knowing they served the wrong table. How's that our fault? Portions are small and not what I expect from a Mexican restaurant. A friend ordered the vegetarian enchilada and it tasted like frozen mixed vegetables straight from the bag with no seasoning or anything to give it some sort of flavor. Dessert was alright we got the flan and tres leches. Flan was better. Received the bill and was charged for the guacamole, even though we didn't order it and it was their accident by giving it to us. What a shame. We will not be returning and I do not recommend this place unfortunately

This place was fantastic. Brought my mother and wife on a Monday night and had great service, delicious margs and some of the best upscale Mexican food I have had since moving back from Los Angeles! Definitely a worthwhile visit

Excellent Mexican restaurant on Moody Street in Waltham. We had a party for 8 for 5 PM. Our reservation was honored and the service was great. It was extremely clean and nice inside. Parking was pretty easy. Ample street parking there is a free lot around the corner. The drinks were very flavorful and pretty strong ?. The food was excellent as well.

I went to Amuleto for a work dinner and it was really nice. The cocktail MezcaLoco is delicious and their ribs are very tender and greatly seasoned.Their chips are very crunchy, which is nice.

Looking for delicious, authentic Mexican food in a pleasant environment? This is your place, located at the top of Moody Street in Waltham. Parking is a little tricky but there are several municipal lots within a couple of blocks. I went with two friends, one of whom uses a cane, so I was worried about mobility around what looked to be a small space from the online pictures, but it is not so small and at 12:30 on a January Saturday we were some of the first to arrive (although the place was bustling at 2:30 when we left). Okay, enough with the logistics, let's talk about the FOOD. Outstanding. Two of us had the tasty original margaritas with plenty of salt (sorry, blood pressure). One diner started with the sopa de tortilla, followed with the enchiladas which looked fantastic. My other companion and I had the lunch special of quesadillas with chicken, which were outstanding. All the meals came with a choice of Mexican or lime rice, and black or refried beans. I had the Mexican rice and black beans which were plentiful if a little bland--needed a little salt or spice or something. Oh, and did I mention the homemade guacamole and salsa served with chips? We had to shut ourselves off at one point for fear of not having enough room for the meal itself. And if all of that wasn't enough, were we able to resist the offer of flan for dessert? That would be "no." Delicious. All in all we very pleased with our first visit to this entry into the storied Moody Street restaurant scene. It will not be our last!

Good Mexican food. Fish is always excellent. Chicken dishes ok. Not your typical Mexican.
