Food, service and everything else in between was great. Can't speak highly enough about how good the food was. Will definitely be back

This is a long overdue review. When I tell you how I was so excited to actually try Gustazo's because every person I knew had been hyping it up for the Cuban food, I was actually so disappointed! First and foremost, I had reservations set prior to dining in. When I got to the restaurant, there were no other customers standing by the host stand. We got sat fairly quickly and it did not look like a busy night at all, especially considering we sat in an empty section in the back. What set me off was our server Lila M's attitude and her low attention for service. I was so upset because she paid us no attention to be served. We needed to ask questions about the menu and she made us feel like we were dumb for asking questions when it was our first time dining in. To top it off, she did not check up on us at all, assuming we didn't need anything. The people who helped the most were actually the food runners and host that night, and that wasn't their job. Our host actually was the one who took our order too! What was also upsetting was we saw our food get taken to a different party's table and they just brought it over to our table afterward. Our food was so cold, and you can actually see that with the fat of the Costillas a La Guayba... We addressed our concerns to our server Lila and she rolled her eyes at us. I don't think I'm a needy customer at all, especially because I was not expecting something to be discounted or lowered on our bill. We just seriously wanted better service and hot food! Like I mentioned at the beginning of this, I was really excited to try this place but left absolutely upset & disappointed.

The food was hot and fresh, and our server was wonderful. I had a stuffed potato ball. In Spanish, it sounds better. But it's ground beef, and then they roll potatoes. Of course, they make a sort of a dough ball, and they deep fry it. Fabulous , I also a capuchia. Rice

Went to see The Holdovers at the Embassy Cinema in Waltham. The big and unexpected pleasant surprise was around the corner from the cinema. Gustazo Cuban Kitchen was amazing. Fabulous vibe and service. Our server Lila made the night but the whole staff was great, very friendly, including the manager, Jim. Cuban cocktails, tapas, expresso and Tres Leches cake with coconut, all AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS. Cannot wait to go again.

Delicious food! Pan con lechón is my go to. I got their arroz con pollo the other day and it was a big plate for me but I was amazing.

Very very good Cuban food in a somewhat authentic but unpleasantly loud setting. We enjoyed all of the Small plates that we ordered the empanada as well as the taco seemed nice desert was spectacular. The churros where to die for and the tray Leche cake which was served in a cocktail glass was by itself a stand out dish. The server was more than busy and turned up once every 15-20 minutes . The girls who delivered food were pleasant but did not seem to speak reasonable English. But in the end, the food triumphs and boy-o-boy.. wasn’t it spectacular.Would definitely go back as the tastes are authentic and the choices - diverse.Vegetarian options: Many choices for vegetarians

Delicious food, lively atmosphere, friendly service. Food is a bit on the salty side like just about all restaurant fare. Servings are generous. I want to go back to try more dishes.

Gustazo has a great selection of tapas and a fun ambiance and good table service. Dishes come out as they are prepared. The empanadas are crispy and savory hot from the fryer. The octopus is well prepared and tender. Lamb was tasty and well cooked but not as interesting a flavor profile. Go instead with the shrimp and grits and the pork belly. Very satisfying. Good times and cocktails as well

We had an amazing dining experience here with a large group. The cocktails, atmosphere, service and food were all top notch. Can't wait to come back!

I went to this place in Waltham MA during a business trip. The service was pretty decent and the food was good, but there were mice roaming around the back end of the restaurant which turn a positive experience into a disgusting evening. I don't think I will return to this place. They need a Pest Control Program badly.

We ordered several small plates, all of which were just ok and not seasoned as you may expect for cuban food.

Exceptional food, worth the wait and the price. This is one of my all-time favorite restaurants.

Great to have a second Gustazo nearby. Everything just as good here - Orishas, Westerly Wind, Margarita, empanadas, croquetas, cazuela de coliflor asada, sol stuffed rellenos, ceviche all delicious. Quick friendly service.

Cannot understand the high ratings of this restaurant. My Mejillones Con Chorizo was the worst mussels dish I ever ate in a restaurant. The mussels were pre-cooked and they were all shrunk in size dried up. Very rich butter cream sauce was poured on top of room temperature dried up small mussels - cannot believe this kind of injustice done to mussels destroying the essence of this type of dish. Shame on you. I will never go back.
